Content trap suggestion and a question.

I was wondering if there would be awesome puzzles like Guess-The-Colors(guessing 4 colors with a limited amount of chances, and about 6 colors to choose from), while adds attack your group. This is a suggestion taken from DDO, because they have some real trap contents that are amazing and challenging to do. I'm suggesting this because in the last beta I found disabling the spike traps was possible. Maybe you guys could really play around with these things and getting a "trap-disabler" perk for the Night Blade class maybe, or to all classes? Seeing as the classes are more set towards their focused roles such as, Sorcerer AOE-DPS; Dragon Knight, TANK, DPS; Templar, HEALER; Night Blade, DPS. I consider myself a MMO veteran, because I've played at least 30 MMO games since Runescape came out and stuck with about 5 for more than a few years.

Reason for bringing out the "trap-disabler" perk is so that Night Blade will have a stronger role in dungeons and raids rather than just another DPS class. However, it may kill the variety of the characters. So leaving it opened to all classes would be a good idea, but giving the Night Blade an advantage to the perk. This is just a template ESO could follow by, Night Blade trap perk +25/50/75%(max at 95%, from 65%) to disable trap score if traps were a 40% + half character level chance to be disarmed and explode chance(65%?) on failure and with traps still going on. Traps are meant to be lethal and that's what makes a dungeon fun(late game preferably) and making Night Blade a more wanted and useful class.

Doubtful this will be added anytime soon or at all, and since the game's almost set to go. But, would be a heck lot of fun IMO.

The question I have is why does the Imperial race have the Shield Affinity? Why not gold affinity earning at most 15% more gold, as they are diplomatic merchants.

I like puzzles, if they're not overly hard to do... However, I don't see how "guessing colors" is a puzzle, it seems like a luck game to me...

I'd like to tell you that all classes can fill any role pretty damn good too. A lot of people would argue the sorcerer is the best healer. The templar has a lot of very nice tanking abilities, and so on. I don't agree at all with "classes focused on roles", as you think.

I don't think we need a trap disabling skill, no more than we need a lockpicking skill. But if they add any of those, I'm guessing it would be with the upcoming Thieve's Guild/Dark Brotherhood update. I think making this skill unique to or better for nightblades is a bad idea. Nightblades don't need a stronger role, as half the players already play them.

As for the Imperials? Note that the boost the Imperials got for getting more gold was only in Skyrim. The Imperial race was introduced in Morrowind where they did not have any boost like that and they did not either in Oblivion, so I don't think this ability is something really imprtant for the race. However, they have always been good with blades and/or shield and the shield affinity skill makes sense to me.

I don't think an ability to make more gold with a specific race would work good in an MMO, especially the 15% you're mentionning, it seems way too much.

Ant by the way, as all the 3 alliances are attacking Cyrodiil and the Imperials, being a "good diplomat" won't save you from the fact that your race is kinda the pariah in this game.

Guessing colors isn't really a game of luck, but more of a game of wits and wisdom. It's actually quiet interesting once you understand how it works. However, I don't mean to say that puzzle has to be in the game.

I can agree with what you say about the variety of the classes, and the Trap-Disabling perks being set into the thieves guild, but never the less Night Blade is just another DPS class that I would personally switch for a sorcerer if I could get another DPS in a 4 man team. Imperials are skilled at both magic and melee combat. IMO 10% gold gained for the passive isn't bad, instead of 15%. The game's hard enough to make money as it is in my experience from the Beta. So, I doubt the 10% gold gain passive would make a huge impact on the game.
