[WIP] Continent of Yesterbreeze

Post » Mon Jul 12, 2010 5:18 pm

Sorry, for the absence; life has been really busy. This project is definitely still going (I for one certainly still have the intention to finish this), but there's not much progress to report on as these last past months haven't resulted in much modding time.

It's great to see that there is still such interest in this mod, and I am hoping that after the next couple of months I will once again have some time on my hands where I can relax and mod.

Thanks for everyone's continued support,
Regaez

You're welcome! :)
You're doing a great job, I can't wait to put my hands on Yesterbreeze. Oh and I also hope you'll release a questless open beta... ;)

Keep up the good work.

Good to see your still alive Reg. :biglaugh:

I've only recently got all my MW stuff straightened up on my new comp and have almost all my stuff reinstalled. So I'm almost ready to get back to modding. Oblivion also works on my new comp so I went Oblivion mod crazy...so I'm guilty as sin in wasting away time there. But I'm back now anyway.

Wow, I thought we had more or less disbanded. I didn't think there would be any posts as recent as this. Hey, Regaez, I'd be glad to help. I'm not sure what I'll be able to do, as I've lost most if not all of my ability as a modeler due to lack of practice. I'm sure if I dedicated myself to it, I cuold help on that front, though.

This looks great. I cant wait for the next update and more importantly, the Blizzard-like release date ("whenever it gets done").

I'd actually forgotten about this mod project. Regaez has been gone for so long that I have no idea what's even going on anymore with him. I hate to say it, but unless he comes out and says otherwise this project is most assuredly dead. Either way until he comes back the remaining misc. quests I need to finish writing will remain undone as is it seems a waste of effort otherwise. :(

Couldn't you contact him via e-mail?

Anyway, here's what I found browsing the forums. It could be an interesting read:

Although this link doesn't contain miracles, I guess it could be quite useful. :)

Regaez was here only a month ago. If you read this thread and the Pelagiad one, he clearly states that he is slowly working on all his projects.
We just gotta wait :)

Yep Regaez is still here and so am I :tops:
I can assure you that this project is still been worked on, and if you would like an update, here it is from my end:
All of the interiors of Togurn excluding the castle are finished and are now just waiting for NPC's to be placed by Reg and then the town will be finished.

Hope this will give some reassurance that the project is still alive and well and thankyou all for your continuing support :foodndrink:

Hey everyone!

I would just like to say that this project is NOT dead, but just progressing very slowly. I started this back in April '07 (only announced it on the forums about Dec '07 though) so I've nearly been working on it 3 years now. I have not put in this much work to give up now. However, my life has steadily become more and more busy in those years, and the days where I had the time to mod all day have now passed. For example, this last month I've had Christmas and New Years with family where I was unable to mod, and I've now just got back from Outward Bound Anakiwa - a 3 week outdoors experience course in the South Island of New Zealand. Needless to say, I've not had the chance to do ANY modding during January, or even get on a computer.

During Outward Bound we looked at personal values, challenges (both mental and physical), and goals and Yesterbreeze is a goal I've had for a long time. After Outward Bound, its values of Determination, Integrity, and Greatness still ring loudly in my mind. I am determined to finish this mod, and to finish it the best that I can. It's a challenge, but I feel as if I can rise to any challenge now.

Don't forget, though, that it is ONLY me working on the exteriors and Cullanna doing interiors. So as far as world-building goes, it WILL take a long time, for it is a huge landscape. However, I wouldn't want it any other way. I started this project by myself, and am certainly not expecting anyone else to mod it for me - nor do I want to. I have a few people who are helping/have helped contribute (Cullanna, Syrcanus, Mystery05) and they are greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys. But I'm not interested trying to handle and organise a big team (I do bad enough keeping these people in the loop) - I just want to mod.

So, all I ask for is your continued support, patience, and understanding that this WILL be a long time in the making, as it has been so far. Don't expect any miracles; just hard-work, diligent modding and eventually an end result.

Cheers,
Regaez.

Thanks for the update, and here's hoping you find spare time to continue.
Glad to hear all is well. :)

Good to know that this is still in the works Regaez and that your doing well-if busy. I just recently graduated from college in December. Thank god that nightmare's over. In the meantime I guess I'll dust off my misc. quests document and try to find out what the last official count was up to...I think it was 76/100. After that I'll start working on them again lazily as I always do. Expect them to be either posted here in spoilers or pmed to you.

Just a little update on what's been done in the last week. The exteriors within the walls of the town of Togurn have been completed, along with a few more interiors. The countryside imediately around Togurn is under heavy development and is pretty much at the fine-detailing phase. Here are a few screenshots showing some of the developments:

Nice to see you around Regaez.

I guess the ID of trees in this screenshot is original one. that will benefit from any tree replacer mod, such as vality's billboard trees and vurt's new animated AA trees.
