Are the Continents of Nirn fragments of passed Kalpa's?

It used to be one landmass, but then the mer and men blew most of it up. Annotated Anuad is the only source that really says anything of substance concerning this.

People assume sometimes that the other continents of Nirn are postkalpic mirrorbrothers of Tamriel. I'm for the Pannirn continent theory myself.

Assume is the keyword. The other theory is that all the continents were like pangaea, but split due to the warring Enolfey

I still like my theory that Akavir comes from outside the Godhead altogether.
