Nope, but I think its very likely we have not seen the end of the fallout series. Still too much to the story. Also, there are DLC's for NV coming out, so you won't have to wait too long for new content.

(Be patient, with NV just out, and DLC's coming, a new game will not be out this year. I would say next year at best, 13 at the latest, and i like the 13 idea, because i think we all know why.....)

I think we MIGHT see something at E3 (though I doubt it, as I'm sure Bethesda will want to focus on rage and skyrim, plus why hype up a game that probably wont be out till late 2013 when you have another, similar in play style game coming out this yer?), but we probably won't hear anything till E3 next year (unless we get some out of the blue reveal like skyrim). Lets just hope it doesn't end up like NV where we get NO news other than an announcement, reveal trailer, and a date till almost 6months b4 the game comes out.

You mean TES?

I hope they are not similar at all. Or I mean, stop continuing being similar.

its likely we'll have a new one in a couple years at most...pete hines did say they bought the franchise in order to work on and develop it it, he also said.. "we intend to bring fallout to the forefront of rpg's in a major way" ..thats an exact quote you can find on the web pretty easy, and its encouraging statements cause they themselves only made one so far, so i'm sure they already have plans for what 4 is gonna be.

he's prob talking about rage, its out in sep this year and its a post apocalyptic FPS thats been in the making for 4 years from ID software, its gonna have some minor rpg elemenets but its a huge open type world post apocalyptic game published by bethesda. which i am happy about cause it will have the post apocalyptic feel with plenty of cool environments and combat which new vegas lacking so badly.

Your seriously linking Fallout to Rage, yeah it looks like a good game, but is basically Borderlands.

Fallout is not a post apocalyptic simulator, it is a POST POST apocalyptic game, as evidenced by FO1 and 2 and New Vegas. FO3 is the only exception. As you see, three beats one :D

i'm not linking it to FO but it is a huge post apocalyptic world and it was in the making before borderlands even came out and so it may look like borderlands but i doubt its gonna be exactly like it. i've watched a lot of gameplay from it, it looks pretty good to me. the locations and action look a lot better than NV did with more of a post apocalyptic feel.

well i'm not interested in playing a non bethesda fallout game, bethesda knows what the people want, open worlds, plenty of exploration and combat, lots of fantasy elements, immersive post apocalyptic gameworld, new vegas was more a 3rd world feel, civilized war drama, not a post apocalyptic feel. not to mention cruising around the new vegas map was kinda like waiting for paint to dry. you couldn't even tell a war was going on either.

No offence, but you clearly want to pretend that Fallout 1 and 2 never existed. You have a large original fan-base, and you must cater to them to.

I always thought that a post-apocalyptic country is supposed to be 3rd world. I mean, bombed-out buildings, food, water and medicine shortage, rebels and soldiers and civilian casualties. Fits both.

Not only that, but it's really what the series is about: moving foward and rebuilding. Altough, I think the Fallout universe will eventually destroy itself again "War, war never changes".

there was already a poll on this, and half the people dont get the "post apocalyptic" feel from new vegas, there isn't much contrast, its mostly just a desert, so even if a hundred nuclear bombs dropped on the desert, its still gonna just be desert, its kinda like using only white paint against a white background.

Then ask BETHESDA to make a FALLOUT that takes place just after the damn war! The Great War was 200 plus years ago. Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout New Vegas and hell even Tactics was about rebuilding and dealing with social conflicts.

Oh wait I forgot who I am talking to, the guy that hates every Fallout but Fallout 3

I don't care what a banner on a damn forum says. It isn't even a simulation. If it is, its a piss-poor one because, I can guarantee that NONE of the things in the Fallout series wouldn't of happened if it was "a simulation".

post apocalyptic games are in, FO3 was a blockbuster smash hit so people like post apocalyptic, metro2033, stalker, even borderlands, all those games were pretty decent and later this year another huge post apocalyptic game published by bethesda is coming out RAGE, so post apocalyptic is in. a lot of people still like that theme, also stalker is coming out to console games next year, so there's plenty of post apocalyptic games happening, and none of em have been flops, except for new vegas

The banner of course means, Fallout will prepare you for the Apocalypse.
