Controller and SMART Movement

Brief background before question

I've pre-ordered for the PC and in my excitement spent some money for a new monitor and graphics card. That being said I've been considering buying it for the 360 to reconnect with one of my oldest friends who goes to a different university than me.

While I was contemplating how much I will enjoy SMART and the freedom it provides I began to grow concerned about the controls on a controller. Performing adept combos between climbing wall, wall jumping, catching a ledge, or a sporadic slide during a firefight is easily done with a flick of the wrist and a mouse. However, a controller presents a different issue. Personally I use the default or lower setting when playing FPS on my 360. I find it gives me more control than a higher sensitivity. So, as I was thinking of playing with my friend I grew concerned about long or difficult combinations of SMART and aiming and shooting. I'm not complaining or starting a console war by any means. I'm just wondering if this has come across anyone else's mind?

What are your thoughts on effectively navigating a series of terrain, a "twitch" wall run or slide, and winding up in the place you want with your xhairs where you want them (with a controller)?

I think those of us that are used to playing FPS's on consoles will be okay with it, but I definitely see how it would be more precise on a computer. Might take a little getting used to, but I don't think it'll be a problem.

I tend to use a mid - high sensitivity in Resistance (only other FPS I've played online since moving to a console), but they've said the sensitivity will automatically adjust when you're wallrunning etc. to allow for better movement control, rather than worrying so much about aiming.

I always played at a low-med sensitivity on consoles. I never found this to be a problem, as that's just what I need to do in order to get my reticle on target every time. On PC, I run a MUCH higher sensitivity (I used to run a 97% sensitivity on SC2, before I realized that I did not need it to be that high and the longer movements actually felt more comfortable than the brisk short movements). In fact, I can only ever quickscope on the PC (no not CoD, for Halo. Quickscoping is the strongest way to snipe mid-range, because the reticle will "catch" your opponent briefly from the auto-aim).

Yes, the shooting is more difficult, but remember that the same problems plague your opponents as well.

Now, as for SMART, I have Mirror's Edge and I run the same sensitivity that feels comfortable in Halo (in CoD I go one higher, because twitching is better). I didn't have a problem with it, but there was also a button that spun you around to face the other way, so...
