PC Controller Deceleration

Post » Mon Jan 25, 2016 3:22 am

(Apologies if this is in the wrong place or anything like that. Please let me know if it is.)

Hi all

I'm trying to play the game with an Xbox 360 controller, but it has this annoying deceleration effect whenever I look around and pass an activation prompt, like 'Door (A) Activate'. I think the same thing happens when looking at companions. If I pan past any prompts the camera slows down. I imagine this is to make it easier to hit those prompts with the controller, but I find the inconsistent camera movements uncomfortable.

I tried searching through the INI commands for Controls and Camera, testing to see if changing them made any difference, but I can't found the right one. If anyone knows a way to disable this effect, please let me know. Thank you.

Although I don't know, I've noticed this too, although I'm not annoyed with it I can see why people would be.

Never really thought about it but I do believe you are correct. I notice it a little now that you mentioned it. Doesn't really bother me much but if I could turn it off I probably would.

Haven't noticed this controller behavior, but I was curious so I looked and found these .ini lines.

[Controls]

fGamepadLookMaxRotationSpring=20.0000

fGamepadLookMultExponent=0.0000

fGamepadLookAccelPitchMult=3.0000

fGamepadLookAccelYawMult=3.0000

fGamepadLookAccelSec=1.1000

These and other gamepad .ini lines can be found in the Fallout4"Final".INI found here http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/952/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D952%26preview%3D&pUp=1

Fool around with these .ini lines at your own risk. I would play around with these lines in the Fallout4custom.ini.
