Controller Sensitivity?...

Post » Mon Jun 08, 2009 6:43 am

is it just me or are the controls hyper sensitive compared to the beta? I had my sensitivity on 30 for the beta and was fine but I have to have it on 10 on the retail version and it's still too fast at times but too slow ADS. Anyone else struggling with this?

ADS is not effected by sensitivity otherwise would make it pointless :P as for sensitivity i have mine at 30(i think :P) and it seems fine. can't remember what i had on demo.

Thanks for reply but ADS mean aiming down sights and it is very much affected by sensitivity.

Same here. I need to play between 10-25, otherwise it's almost impossible to lead headshot at med to lang range consistantly.

As it should be, Centre mass is the key my friend for accuracy while convienantly I have 500 kills and 200 of which are headshots.

During demo I used a 60. Now that feels twitchy and different. I'll try 50.

I wish all FPS games would give players separate options to change the horizontal and the vertical speed for the ADS as well as the movement speed, because I like my horizontal movement speed very fast but I like the the vertical movement speed at a mid-range speed as for ADS speeds horizontal aim speed I like it slow and vertical ADS speed very slow. I don't know why game developers have not incorporated these options into the games it's four simple controller sensitivity settings and everyone would be happy. If the control speed can't be adjusted any better I won't play Crysis Mp anymore and it svcks because I love the campaign and Mp has cool perks and its looks great! yeah there are issues with lag and spawning but don't all new games, I'm sure they with fix most of the lag and the spawning I dont think they will work on the control speed and some people may say "get used to the speed" well I should have too! Give us more options, this is not the only FPS game I play I like Reach and Black ops so Its hard for me to "get used to it" when I'm like the speeds in those two shooters even tho they are not perfect because they are not fully adjustable they are better than Crysis.

I think that the in game sensitivity is alright, I play with mine between 10 and 15 but my problem is how sensitive it is in the regular menus. Try to move one block and it skips like three you have to tap the control stick gently just to select what options you want before even starting to play lol.

Mine is all the way up. I think they need a higher setting. In cod I had to turn mine down to compensate for playing crysis

I've never said that I had any trouble at aiming, since I got 782 kills and 604 headshots. I have a similar ratio on most games and a nearly perfect ratio of headshots on Rainbow Six Vegas 2. If it is humanly possible to do so, you can be sure I'll find a way to master the whole thing. But I take no credits, I just have some experience and take the time to reach that level, anyone with enough dedication can do that, but if I think those controls are flawed, there is a lot of chance that a lot of players from all over the world may not feel comfortable with those controls.

So, as a gamer and game developer, I took the time to come here and express the problem, because there is actually a real one. I would be glad to see such a great game to get a patch that would not only please the fans, but also give justice to the MP. The sensitivity curve accelerates way too fast around the center to give enough precision to the player and it should be slowed down a bit, just to give a better curve - whatever the sensitivity is. I would challenge anyone to get my ratio of headshots in Crysis 2 MP with a sensitivity of 50 or beyond and use the Scar as a primary weapon.

Everyone would benefit of more natural controls and it wouldn't hurt to have more customization options, just in case.

Ex:
From the hip
X axis sensitivity: 1-10
Y axis sensitivity: 1-10
(optional) X axis acceleration: 1-10
(optional) Y axis acceleration: 1-10

Iron sight
X axis sensitivity: 1-10
Y axis sensitivity: 1-10
(optional) X axis acceleration: 1-10
(optional) Y axis acceleration: 1-10

ADS is nowhere near affected by your sensitivity settings.

My sensitivity is almost at 30... 25 I think.

Wasn't there a delay or some weird acceleration? Because I don't see how better one of those version could have been.

I don't stop playing with the sniper rifle + red dot and after all those hours of play, I still feel the controls are not responsive at all...
