A controversial subject

Before you go 'lololol buy pc if u want mods', know that I plan to, random hypothetical commenter. However, in the event that I can't, I would be very very appreciative if mods were available on Xbox. Yes, I know, Microsoft would never allow it because it violates the terms of use, but then I got thinking. Surely, as Bethesda were able to release OFFICIAL mods for Oblivion on Xbox, such as Battlehorn Castle and such, couldn't they hold votes for favoured mods on PC, get the best ones every month, and convert them to Xbox, and release them for free there? With the permission of the original modder, of course. Now I know there's probably a massive flaw here, so I would hopefully like someone to tell me what it is.

There has been a lot of topics discussing this possibility but it was confirmed that there is no intention of this happening.

We like seeing the mods that are made by the community, but we have no plans to make them available as official releases.

Similar to Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3, the tools for Skyrim are PC only. There's no plans to release a version of the Creation Kit on consoles. If you're into modding, we suggest you go for the PC version.
