Convention, anyone?

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 5:59 pm

It's been a long time (a few months) since we've had a Mojave-sort convention, (I've been terribly busy up until now) so I was thinking of starting one up with a decent time jump. For example: The Great Khans are now the Empire of the Great Khans (if anyone doesn't know, it's the same name as the largest state (or khanate) of the Mongol empire), etc.

I was thinking of also adding a few factions that would still be existent from the original Fallouts. (Perhaps a group of organized traders from the boneyard, etc).

For anyone who has never done one before: It's a lot like a Model UN type discussion with different representatives, but since the Forums are not near as large as that of Skyrim, it is more simplified. There's normally between 15-30 people involved in the debates in the older conventions.

Anyone is free to give it a shot, even if they have never done a convention before. It's a good way to get a lot of people from the forums involved in a logical (but role-played) debate. I've made a lot of friends on these forums from other conventions, and it would be awesome to see even more people this time around.

I am down for it, I love a good debate. Do you want us to come up with the faction, or are you going to provide us with a list of factions to chose from?

Hmmmm, I've never done a convention before, I guess now would be a good time to start. I'm interested.

Edit: If it does end up happening I would like to represent Caesar's Legion.

Do you think you can handle the role? It's pretty big.

Alright. For the people who don't know how this works, I'll give a good example for what I might do for my very first post in the convention, if I had my name next to, let's say "lalaland"

Bobby Beers- Ambassador of Lalaland

*Bobby walks into the convention room and sits down on the chair labeled "Lalaland"*

Lalaland needs resources. We can trade lalas to Seasame Street, but in return, we need dinosaurs.

Also, Lalaland would like more electricity, so if HELIOS One could provide 0.5% of their electricity, it would be enough for lalaland.

Wait, the Slags? Aren't they a little to far west and to few in number to be in the Mojave? And part of the NCR?

Since Magnus already called it :swear: I'll be ...BOS I guess.

I can handle the role you're looking at the guy who rped the NCR in the America conventions and a mercenary company in the Midwest conventions and the brotherhood of Steel in the east coast conventions.

Not way too far West. They don't have many friends because of their "mutations". They were called out by the Courier so that this convention's influence could reach the west.

FYI:The Stockmen's Association is basically composed of Brahmin Barons and cattle runs.

Someone messaged me (posted after, but messaged me first) for Caesar before you posted. Sorry. . There are plenty of other positions, though.

EDIT: The OP has been updated for just about everyone that's interested.

Don't post on this thread for RP, though. It hasn't started, I'm just gathering a crowd.

I'm hopeful. It's thursday morning/afternoon and I'm already getting people. A good sign.

I also turned the topic into a poll, so the people who are going to be doing this can vote on which FONV ending we are going to use in the convention.

EDIT: Giving people even more freedom by adding four choices to the poll.

House's ending would give more options I think...

Anywho can I represent the Think Tank Collective? If not put me down for Primm.

Honestly, that's going to depend on who has done the DLC and who hasn't. For now, I'll put you down for Primm, but we'll see.
