I'd like to convert a few of the coolsims hairs for personal use, but I'm not really sure what I need to do. I use blender. Are there any tutorials on the subject that I could read up on? I tried google, but I haven't found anything yet.

I've been doing a similar thing but converting over modded clothing. Bahamut has a very nice Skinning Tutorial on MMH. What additional steps you need to take though is that you have to make sure the hairs fit on the head. Please note that it's not going to be a perfect conversion and you can only minimise visual glitches. In Bahamut's words, it will be like resolving a leaking pipe.

I managed to fit Ryk's A Cup swimwear the best that I can in Blender. Proportional editing really helps and so does the Clothing Bodytype Converter on LoversLab.
