Convince MePositive sides of ESO

Post » Sat Feb 08, 2014 12:38 am

So, I am a lot more interested in this since the pre-order pack add-on to play any race on any faction. I just need more reasons to pay so much for this.

Will you ladies and gents give me your reasons for buying this game? I figure this could create a non-flame conversation about the positive sides of ESO. Please do NOT post any BETA information. I want to be interested but myself and my friends really just wanted a TES Co-op. (We still want a Fallout co-op :D)

Thanks in advance!

Best advice would be to wait to get to play the game yourself and form your own opinions. According to a recent FAQ entry ZOS will be sending out mass invites so anyone who signed up will get to test, plus Curse.com is giving away keys, so yeah IMO play the game and see for yourself.

Like you said you wanted, it's an Elder Scrolls you and your friends can play together. My best advice is to check out the videos on youtube that the devs have, you'll get some gameplay and lots of info on the game to determine if it is something you and your friends would want to get into.

Hope I helped.

Is Skyrim in ESO nearly the same as Skyrim in the sp game? Is each region as large as Skyrim?

There are differing opinions of developers. Some say slightly larger, some say slightly smaller. You can bet it's about the same.

That's great to know! If it's roughly the same, that's all that matters, and that in itself is awesome. not to mention, I'm sure dungeons will be a lot more interesting indepth in ESO. Secondly, the design of the creatures (Gaints, Mammoths, Frost Trolls, DraugrFrostspiders, Wolves etc) are all there, so that is awesome as well.

Now think about being able to finally experience places we never seen before like Elsewyr, Hammerfell, High Rock etc - that's pretty damn awesome. Plus an improved version of DaoC RvR gameplay - but with Molag Baal's daedric invasion force in the mix - I'm sold.

One MEGASERVER to rule them all. (Hope that's not too spoiler-ish?)

That's an overstatement. Some regions will be locked at start so you only get to explore most of Tamriel, not all of it.

Uh... You can make 'pretty' elves? That's a positive to some.

It's really hard to list individual things I like about the game though I've not been in Beta yet so I can't say what it's actually like. I feared the game would be too much like Skyrim but thankfully remains loyal to the older games as well, instead of just trying to appeal to newer ES players. If I'd given my Top 9 Things to Look Forward to in TESO article a lot more thought before, I'd link it here but I've not even started it yet.

I guess you really must see the gameplay footage for yourself. It probably won't live up to the standards of Skyrim, but will feel far better than most MMOs out there. That's my two pence at least.

The gameplay footage I have seen doesn't seem to paint a good picture. Animations seem pretty clunky and the combat looks very similar to the "slash through" combat we get in a lot of other MMOs. It also seems like the people playing are either having an easy go of it or are using modified characters/developer tools for testing purposes.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of videos of here is a quest, these are the ways you can complete the quest. I have only seen one show "group" content. I would also like to know how much co-op is needed for the Overland or non-dungeon areas of the game. Most MMOs my friends and I have played together have Overland (90% of) content being pretty much solo-able. While TES games are solo, I really hope that ESO is group focused or there is little point to playing it with others.

Thank you for all the responses so far. Bluesnacks the newbie FAQ from your signature was a good read.

Any game that has this man as the Loremaster is worthy of playing.

If you need people to convince you to get this game, then I suggest you don't get it. If any of the information that ZOS has provided so far isn't enough, then that's on them. It's not other player's job to convince you, especially people that just do not know you.

I'm positively sure that this MMO will be a superior to any previous MMOs in graphics, Quests and voice casting quality.

Also, I understand that the PVP will be one of the main focuses of this game, so if you like highly developed pvp, it may be a good choice to check this out.

Fully voiced MMO which brings the entire elder Scrolls universe in one title, It can be great for those who prefer to explore and learn about the Lore.

The mega server will make the game much more accessible and unite players under one roof(depends on console).

As far as for gameplay, I noticed some creativity so condemning this game gameplay as unworthy of trying is excessive and baseless.

From the videos I have seen and articles I read, I can say I'm satisfied.

Anyway, I'm already convinced it will be a nice game.

You can read articles on Elder Scrolls online wiki and from other sources, a research will be helpful in this case.

Best to check it by youself by participating in the Beta testing.

Best of Luck and may the spirit of Akatosh be with you :)

I think you might be missing the point. I wanted to know everyone's personal reasons for wanting to play it. You know.. what are you really looking forward to about the game. Also typing a few lines of text is hardly a JOB. Sheesh. lol Don't worry I will be testing the game.
