Explain to me why a game that has worse graphics and a bad fighting mechanic is better than skyrim.
I still enjoy playing morrowind and skyrim has become dull to me.

Graphics don't define a game, the story does.

I think its because the story isn't as predictable and you do other things than just kill druagr or bandits.

I couldn't get past 9 hours in Morrowind cause of it's absolutetly dreadful let's-place-every-single-topic-in-every-NPC's-dialogue Dialogue System and it's dicerolls with everything I did.
It made the game so unbearable(?) that I couldn't get any urge what so ever to play it.
"Use mods"
I didn't have to use mods for Skyrim to enjoy it, so Morrowind was better? Nnnnnot for me.

It's all personal. You know yourself better than us strangers ever could. Why do you expect us to tell you why you enjoy one thing and not another? This seems like a very self-centered topic.

If you enjoy Morrowind, play Morrowind, and if you think Skyrim is dull, then don't play Skyrim. We certainly can't change or explain that.

I enjoy both, thoroughly and equally.

well I'm hoping maybe someone from the staff will read it and take this into account when they make a new TES game.

The story is only predictable in the sense that canon decides its outcome.

Should you have no knowledge of canon...

The combat, for me, is superior to Morrowind.

Combat is easily the majority of gameplay in TES, and while magicka options are less than previous iterations... Skyrim shines.

In the end, though, I'm not going to sway you either way. I've been particpating in the RPG phenom for the better part of three decades and something about Skyrim just draws me in.

There is nothing wrong with either p.o.v, its all preference.

My only beef with Skyrim is questlines, they could use a little more depth. Well... weapons for that matter as well.

BTW :

This is destined to be locked.

Of course, we all hope that our thoughts are taken into consideration by the developers. In most cases, they are, as evidenced by many changes in Skyrim compared to Oblivion. But by asking us to explain why you enjoy something, instead of explaining to us why you enjoy it, does not help the developers very much.

Some people think that Led Zeppelin is better than all the rocks bands of today. Some people think dubstep before 2008 is better than dubstep after 2008. Some people think Dan Marino is better than Drew Brees. My point is you can't compare the two games at all. They're two totally different eras of gaming, two totally different gaming cycles, two totally different gaming cultures, and two totally different RPG markets.

Both have their goods and their bads, but this whole controversy over which is better just seems silly to me as they're not comparable other than their flipping name.

Does anybody?

Anyways, I found Skyrim to be a lot more engaging in the early going than either Morrowind or Oblivion, but maybe its cause I had already played those, and so was a bit used to the TES games.

I still don't know what the hell dubstep is.

If you're totally foreign to what dubstep is then it's a music genre that started in Britain, the name dubstep has roots in dub, and 2 step. The 2 step drum pattern is what characterized dubstep and it usually featured basslines, or sometimes wobbles. The genre later morphed into different genres like brostep, complextro, drumstep, etc all taking influence from dubstep. The newer dubstep features (to me relies on) heavy bass that usually oscillates which creates a "wobble" effect. You can easily find a dubstep remix of all your favorite songs. Older dubstep was much more chill and has a more "reggae" like feel. Older dubstep was what you'd sit in your room and relax to, newer dubstep is the stuff they play at raves for kids all drugged on on MDMA, weed, shrooms, or whatever they can huff.

If you want to find dirty dubstep just look up Skrillex, borgore, datsik, or bassnectar. If you want some older more chill dubstep check out Burial, Joker, Zomby, Skream, or Benga. If you want to hear some artists that started in dubstep but later branched out then look up Darkstar, or James Blake.

My point by bringing up dubstep was that media evolves and it is hard to really compare the different "eras" because of their unique qualities and the audiences they cater to. You can love both you just need to check your pretentious (daedric) prince at the door.
