I somewhat agree, the problem I see is that it feels like days and nights in FO and TES games are too short. I think if you had to eat three or more times a day based on your activity you'd be eating all the time and have an inventory with nothing but food in it every time you left to go do something.
I hope it's in, I used to use food for healing outside of combat and stimpacks if needed during a fight. One way I'd like to see it improved is if hardcoe mode make drugs/meds have needs increase. So you use a stimpack and it increases hunger as it uses up the bodies reserves to speed up healing. Radaway increases thirst as...well...once you've taken it how'd the rads get out?
