Cooking... Not the Kitchen...The Woods!

Post » Sun Aug 25, 2013 6:05 pm

Anyone else find it a bit ridiculus that in not ONE kitchen in the cities of Skyrim, that there be a spit to cook with? You have cooking pots, brick ovens, etc. not one of which your able to cook in/on! LMAO... If i want to cook, i must goto a purchased home, or find a bandit camp...

On a sidenote, it wouldve been nice to have a cooking tree! Cooking is already a pain as it is.. The weight of Cooking, Alchemy, Blacksmithing, and Enchanting materials is quite the pain...Just thought id share this which i found humorous :icecream:

That's why my character brings items to eat in case I could never find a cooking spot.

In Whiterun, you can also use the kitchen in Dragonsreach. Most NPC homes have useable cooking pots as well.

In Windhelm, you can cook at Candlehearth Hall and in the Palace of the Kings. Not sure about the New Gnisis Cornerclub.

In Markarth, the Silver-Blood Inn has a cooking pot you can use. I usually befriend Bothela and cook there.

And so on. There ARE definitely cooking pots and spits in all the cities, but you might have to look for them.

I remembered Dragonreach as soon as I posted. I was vague on the Silver-Blood Inn.

But you are correct. I'd image every major city has several "public" cooking pots. Then there is choosen merchants like The Riverwood Trader. I believe the Alchemist in Morthal is available as well.

The Bee and barb in Riften also has a cooking pot.

After tell the jarle of whiterun about the dragon the guards set up a campsite with a cooking pot there.

It's a little known fact that the reason there is so much conflict in Skyrim is the struggle for limited resources. They are fighting over cooking spots! And the reason they're all so cranky is hunger :bunny:

I just cook for rolepaying, eating dinner and stuff.

The benefits most of the food makes is very small,I prefer alchemy for that kind of stuff much more.

Even Hearthfire didn't add much in the way of good benefits from food,I think garlic bread is the best it added for cure disease.
