Since Skyrim will be Nord based i'm obviously going to play as a nord. Not that i've ever played as anything else though.

I was wondering if anyone knows any cool viking/nord names to accompany my character. Doesn't have to be a nordish name though, anything from a breton to an argonian is welcome :).

Being an Argonian always, I usually go with something that defines what I do.
Im currently playing in oblivion as Lurks-in-the-caves.
Skyrim= Snow, Snow= Cold
So, im thinking along the lines of, Gets-frost-bite-often or something along the lines.
Needs a bit more thought put in.

Since I never play the race native to that province the first time my first character won't be a Nord. I don't want a Nord to feel lost in Skyrim, so I'm playing either Breton or Dunmer first.
If I can't think of a good name I'll probably just get the name from a random TES name generator like I do for my characters in Morrowind and Oblivion.

I'll continue my line of Nords from OB and MW all named Frosty... although the first Frosty in Skyrim will most likely be the CoC who has gone 200 years without aging in the shivering isles

Hmm, i like the sound of Ragnar. We still have 9 months to come up with better names though so don't worry if you haven't found a name to your likings yet. :P

Ah thanks, that'll be convenient.
I've been boring in the past, naming my main characters simply by my name, 'Matt', but this time I'll probably change things. The name 'Matt' just doesn't seem to fit in TES universe. :P

EDIT: Can anyone quickly tell me what the 'count' number you can enter means on that Name Generator? Dumb question. xD

HODOR!

This is awesome, sir.

I'm now planning a Hodor mod, you play as a big guy and the only dialogue you can say is "Hodor". It turns dialogue with NPC's into a guessing game.

A really cool and old nordic name is Vilding

The swedish meaning of Vilding is exactly translated into english as "wild one" :flame:

It's also not unusual to use it in combination with another firstname ie. Harald-Vilding or Birk-Vilding

(Actually my best friend here in Sweden intend to name his first born son Vilding.)
