A more manipulative telekinesis. I want to be able to catch arrows flying at me out of the air. I also want to be able to pick up objects and use them as effective weapons or shields against magic or arrows. To balance this, using telekinesis on an item would constantly drain your magicka.

Great ideas. The objects shielding though would be interesting also if you could do without magic, with the grab key (if there is any this time).

Yeah i'd fall in love with mysticism if the telekenesis would work like that. Only ever used it for soul trap lol

What about an area of effect destructions spell where it wouldn't kill your allies when you throw it into a mob of people.

As there will be apparently environmental dangers, it could be cool if you could use them to kill enemies (creating a avalanche, pushing foes down a cliff...), by a blast effect spell (it could be an armless pushing spell with fatal consequences when properly used).

Maybe being able to summon multiple monsters at once? As a mastery of conjugation. That would be sick i hated how i would get destroyed when i had like mnore than three guys on me as a spell caster in TES. If i could roll around with a GS and a Dremora i would be set for an army >:D

Gaseous form would be awesome. It could be used to bypass locked doors(those with keyholes) and make you impervious to physical damage, though you would not be able to inflict damage either.

I would like more magic variety, frankly. Despite there being like 80 spell effects in Oblivion, there really wasn't any variety, considering a ton were just "Summon X" instead of just one "Summon Creature" effect like "Fortify Attribute" and "Fortify Skill". Same goes for "X Damage" being several separate effects instead of just one "Elemental Damage" effect. Sadly, it was like that in Morrowind, too, and if this pattern continues these great ideas probably will not exist.

But I mean, I hope non-player made spells have unique animations and effects. Player made can be generic for all I care. Or if not, give things variety. Maybe instead of every lightning spell shooting out of your fingers, make us able to choose the color of the bolt (which could have secondary effects), whether it strikes from the sky or your hand, etc. Simple things like this could add tons of variety.

Conjugation? This is like the third time I've seen someone call it that lmao. It would be sweet to summon like two minions at once. I would have a lich to my right and a xivilai to my left. Mess with me now!!!

Illusion skillchecks in dialogues, allowing for Jedi mind trick style solutions to certain quests.

Also, remove the shaders and casting animations for certain spells (for instance Charm), or make it so that if any NPCs see you cast the spell (without getting hit by the spell themselves) they call the guards. It always seemed wierd in the earlier games that you could charm people with a huge green energy wave and their friends wouldn't care.

I'd actually prefer the second option (only being able to charm people if they were alone, or using a wide-area spell on many NPCs at the same time).

Conjugation minigame! And other maths puzzles plz.

I would prefer summoned creatures to constantly drain your magicka, not dissappear unless they die (or are unsummoned), and you could conjure as many as your majicka reserves would allow. Obviously they'd have to be quite expensive for this to be balanced, but it would make conjuration feel more viable (and less annoying).

A spell with which you create a solid sphere of the size of its effect area, making actors inside be traqed and being an obstacle to the actors outside. casting on self could make it moveable. The spell could have a health and armor rate determined by its strenght.

I'd like to see a lot more affects other than 'fire ball that hits and explodes for x size and damage lasts for x seconds' as it was in Morrowind.

For instance, field affects. After spell is cast the ground radiates a certain color and does damage or healing or gives certain buffs while you or an NPC stands in it.

Instant 'environmental' spells. Such as lightning strikes, wind, manipulation of plant life, etc.

More spread out damage over time spells (ie, less than 1 damage per 1 second, like 1 damage every 5 seconds or such).

More original spell affects, such as a ball that when fired bounces off the ground and surfaces, creating a small explosion of damage each collision for so man collisions.

Push or Pull affects, affected by weight and magical resistance.

Gravity affects. Such as an orb when fired shoots out and slows to a stop. The nearer NPCs are to it, the slower they move. It may affect the flight of arrows, etc. Especially effective if the opponent is wearing a lot of heavy armor.

Something similar but magical, affecting nonphysical creatures and absorbing spells into it.

Levitation, but requiring channeling and constant magicka usage (so it would eat up one hand of casting, and could not be used indefinitely).

Magical barriers and shields.

More debilitating affects rather than damage for mage/warrior mage/thief crossover classes. Such as fatigue damage, draining/absorbing strength/speed/agility/etc, noise, etc.

An extended night vision set of skills; Night-eye should require a very high level of Illusion. If you can't use Night-eye, you can use a flashlight spell, meaning one of your hands will work like a flashlight.
Basic versions would really be like flashlights; focused (but a bit more intense) torches, which emit light that both you and your enemy can see. This skill should be incentivized by giving torches 'weight'.
Higher levels of the flashlight spell are practically like the Night-eye skill, but they occupy a hand (and it doesn't cover 100% of your field of vision).

The basic version of the skill (visible-light flashlight) could also be used on both hands, so that you could blind your enemy. Shazzam!

I don't actually like the idea of specific spells being included in an ES game...like one spell which is the only spell that can ever make that effect. I just want the different spell effects (command, charm, chameleon, invisibility, levitation if it's in again, the damage types, etc.) to be revamped a little to be more balanced and have all effects viable.

A wind elemental spell effect that uses the physics well so you can kill people through fall damage or make them smash into a tree or something.

Scry - Basically a camera spell that puts you in first person and allows you to look around while your character is not moving and see what is up ahead or get an aerial view of the area. Can be coupled with nighteye and light spells.

In spell creation - you can play around with how far it goes or how long it lasts. reducing, increasing magicka similary.

All I want is for spells to have more varied effects in the gameworld. Fire, Shock and Frost were very much the same apart from enemies strenghts and weaknesses. I would prefer fire to do more damage to bare skin, furry animals and cloth, shock to auto-target metal and frost to slow enemies down.

I would also like more environment interaction like Dark Messiah, were fire spells would burn wood and ice spells could be shot at the ground for enemies to slip up on.
