Cool, now the game just hangs at the EYE after launch.

Anyone else having this problem? I was fine until I came home tonight, now the eye just stares at me and I have to alt tab out and back in for it to possibly continue to load into the game. Theres a 50/50 chance that it will work after that.

Just a steam issue that will be resolved in the next few days :)

Do you even read the patch notes?

I've had this issue since Day 1. I just wait 25 seconds and it keeps going.

Do you even have a brain?

He clearly says that it's only since the patch my friend, something Crytek wrote about in the patch notes. If it's been happening to you since day one, then here's a cookie. He's talking about the game dying, not holding for 25 seconds. So to answer your question; yes I do have a brain. I also have the same issue as the OP.

You just gotta wait. Before it was like 30 seconds for me, now it's over a minute. It svcks, but it'll be fixed. Alt-tabbing usually messes it up, actually.

You didn't even read the OP's post.

That's funny.

"alt tab out for it to 'possibly' work"

Yes, I think I did.

OP, try waiting for a little bit when the eye comes up. Don't alt tab or quit the process. It will start going after like a minute.

Tried it a few times, one time it just hung there indefinitely, a second time it took like 2 minutes but then started going into the game, the other 2 times an alt tab crashed it and an alt tab worked for it. (Actually just clicking the 2nd monitor, but i guess thats the same almost as an alt tab)

For clarification, I did not have this issue at all until I got home this evening from work. (Launch to now it has been fine)

CryTek has already stated that this was a problem with the update WHEN they released it and that they will be fixing it soon

"For Steam Users
Steam users will experience some prolonged loading times in this patch for which we apologise. We will update the Steam build in the next few days to resolve this issue.

Fair enough, thanks. No I actually did not read the patch notes, generally I expected patch notes to you know, include fixes. I'm confused as to if they actually test these things before they put them out? That is a genuine question, not even sarcastic. We all know Steam probably doesn't have any subscribers, they practically are bankrupt since pc gaming is dying, right? That still should be something Crytek would you know, test on?
