Why is it that game directors, such as SSoHPKC who is PROMOTING THE GAME, getting copyright strikes? Other people are getting strikes too and it seems to be on the first video. Could any one explain this to me?

Are you the same guy making all these copyright threads? You do know the system on youtube is AUTOMATED and nothing to do with the devs of this game right?

This is the first time I've actually REGISTERED on this site, so no I'm not making a bunch of Copyright Strike threads. All I know is a bunch of directors are getting hit with them.

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. Don't know those acronyms, don't know what you mean by "copyright strike", directors?

So confused.

It's a youtube thing. The system that flags videos for copyright violations has been freaking out lately and banning videos that traditionally don't get copyright violations. If an uploader gets three of them, they get banned.

Some generic American guy who uploads generic playthroughs of generic games has been hit by it and is on the verge of being banned now. He's built up a following of generic angry teenagers who have been making threads blaming the devs even though it's purely a youtube thing.

He only has two strikes and you're an ass. I was simply asked to see what's up with it.

You were asked?

Why doesn't the guy involved contact Bethesda himself instead of sending people to ask on the forums?

Oh, well I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm just trying to explain. I'll help you now by suggesting you should email Zenimax (the publisher) or Youtube directly to get results. There's nothing or nobody on the forums that can help with this. He was a bit silly to send his fans here tbh.

If a video came out before the game did, youtube took it down as a copyright infringement. If it was after the game came out it was more than likely a mix up by youtube personal not being aware or some other problem. Either way, we have posted about it in the admin section for admin review and as soon as they have the time I am sure they will look into it or answer. A weekend however when they have a less help in the office you will not get an answer.

Since we have multiple threads about this, the moderators have posted about it in the admin section and office hours are not until Monday, we can close this thread, ask that you post in another thread already open about it and ask you to be patient until we have an answer.

Okay, there are other players posting on the General Discussion game forums who have nothing to do with the company. There are moderators who don't work for Bethesda who post on the game forums who have nothing to do with the company. There may be game *devs* who don't have any idea what the legal department of the company is doing.

NO ONE is going to know why the company did anything.

There is a "Contact Us" link at the bottom of every page. I suggest using that to contact the company.

http://www.zenimax.com/contact.htm

And of course, there is always the option of having the person who is actually involved contacting Zenimax/Bethesda themselves to find out why whatever happened happened. You do realize that for legal reasons the company may not actually bother to respond to random people who come here to ask questions, right?
