Very nice. Also place around more of the original MW underwater meshes. They just were not used enough.

I think also underwater needs a lot more rocks. Thinking about how Vvardenfell seperated from the rest of Morrowind, there would be a lot of rubble in the water.
Areas where lava would have run into the water should still remain pretty barren, likewise water adjoining ashland areas should be more barren.

That... is incredible. I'm so glad talented modders are still giving Morrowind some love. I can already tell this will be one of those mods I will never play without.

Great!

Why not to apply animated herb meshes on seaweeds? It would give the illusion that they are moving because of the sea currents/movements.

PirateLord: Yes, more rocks would be a big improvement i think.
Mordicus: it already looks like it's moving a bit because of the MGE water effect, like its slightly swaying.. But i could test to render it by the grass shader and see how it looks.

Also, take into account the potential shipping routes. Those ships sailing back and forth would damage any shallow underwater areas.

Certainly makes the underwater areas look a lot more interesting. The WIP video looks excellent but I will second what PirateLord said, I think there could be a lot of value in having more placement of the vanilla (or similar styled) seaweed meshes underwater, particularly rendered as grass to simulate moving with the water currents. Keep up the good work!

So now we already made ot to a WIP-thread, great! :)

So what du you mean by exploration? will there "only" be the underwater landscape to enjoy, or are you planning to add some more things like a little loot, maybe caverns, an underwater playerhouse with a bulleye as window, new fishes? ;)
don't get me wrong, swimming around there would be great on it's own, but maybe some things like the listed would force the players a little more to acually dive/explore there and search for hidden things...if you want to keep it strictly to the lore, then juast forget about the stuff i just wrote ;)

or: there are some guys who are "inventing" some underwater-dwemer stuff? that'll be cool ;)

I'll do the environment first, i see it as a resort that players can visit once or twice to enjoy the view for a bit. There's a ton of things i could do to make it much more interesting, but realistically i dont think i'll be adding any new water life etc (there's already Abot's Water Life anways..). But yes eventually it might become something more than the coral reef itself, time will tell.

It's beautiful. Naturally, I'm interested in compatibility with abot's waterlife.

This looks amazing vurt! Keep it up!

From what I see here there isn't much I'd suggest except maybe some larger meshes for making reef drop offs and such.

Exceptional work, as always, vurt. The only suggestion I can offer is to echo the above lore/ environmental concerns. i.e. shipping routes and lava flows. Also, there seems to be a pattern with these replacers to kinda throw all the new resources together in a big mash rather than paying attention to how they naturally occur; I think paying attention to natural growth patterns will make this an even more superior mod. :)

This looks really cool, I was given a poster depicting coral reefs this Christmas and the reefs you made look just as good if not better. Always found underwater to be incredibly boring in Morrowind, this mod should spice it up nicely.

You could even put coral reefs around Bloodmoon if you wanted to, I just googled around a bit and found out that apparently you can find coral reefs in arctic waters
...anyway, good work!

really cool mod! It will definitely change the morrowind gaming experience and make it much better.

Would it be possible for you to make the marine environment dependent on local "climate conditions"? Say, coral reefs around the warmer parts of Morrowind (e.g. Ascadian Isles, Vivec), kelp in the Bitter Coast area, have barren sea landscapes around Solstheim and Dagon Fel...

Also, will it be compatible with http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=989? It would be a pity to have to choose one over the other!

Will it feature new shipwrecks?

It be awesome too if there would be ruins of an old town that has been sunk into the sea because of volcanic activity...

Mandamus: That's interesting, i didnt know that.

fakebird: Yeah i could ofcourse make different variations of coral reefs, i could add a lot of more stuff to make it more interesting (shipwrecks, loot etc), we'll see. I'll make it compatible with Sea of Solstheim mod too..

Really cool stuff, Vurt.

As regards ideas, how about starfish and new sea shells? :-)

It's because you've been spending too much time trotting around Cyrodiil. ;-)
