Corpse Question

Post » Sun Jul 14, 2013 5:10 pm

Hello,

I have been reading various threads and they talk of "storing bodies in the bsemant." I was just wondering how they get them in there.

Sorry if this is a painfully obvious question.

That would be via the master level spell in Conjuration, Dead Thrall.

EDIT : Note that there is several potential issues with this, as the bodies could be cleaned up by the game. Thus losing the inventory stored in them, should you use them as containers or even any weapons and improved gear you may have on them.

Some bodies, if they are scripted dead bodies like the ones found at a given Talos shrine, will reset and be teleported back to the place of origin. Should the storage basemant or cell be reset after 10 in-game days. This relocation will not loose any of the stored items, as they will be moved with all of the items intact.

So you make the desired corpse your thrall, and bring him into the basemant. Alright. But how do you leave him there? Dead thrall is after all, a permant effect.

You simply kill them. Dead Thralls will not turn to ash when killed.

Cast another Summon, like Dremora lord. The Game should cancel the Thrall. The Game will cancel the earliest Thrall if You have two.

EDIT Familiars are actually very useful for this.

Oh okay. I just assumed by killing them they would become ash. Thanks everyone.

 Ha! That indeed is potentially easier, if you don't have the necessary means to kill them within the two or three hits before you draw aggro.

It's been quite sometime since my last Necro character.
