My AI Correction Wishlist.

I just did 3 retrys of Early Launch as Security on Normal. Ran out of time all 4 tries.

1) I want to control the Bot loadout. When trying to hack the missile and the Resistance Bots are carrying shotguns I'd like my bots to carry something else besides SMGs.
2) I want Medics to revive other MEDICS first. There is no rhyme or reason to who they revive.
3) I want to control the roster. 3 hackers is way too excessive on any mission.
4) I want to control what objectives the bots go after. I could careless that the other team is capturing a supply station.
5) I want to control how many escorts for an objective. ONE escort is not enough.
6) When actively engaged in taking an objective I want the bot to continue with taking the objective NO MATTER WHAT. I don't know how many times the hacker/engineer will run around shooting at NOTHING and don't continue to hack/repair until the enemy is back in force.

Whether I hack or not the outcome is always the same: I'm the last person on the team left alive and I can't hold off all the bots. Good lord. I really like this game and I've already got 10 builds that I'm working on simultaneously but I'm sick of the non-cooperative AI and this game is really giving me a headache.

I want to love Brink. I do, but right now, the Bots are just broken. The mission you cited is one of the worst, most certainly. Even on easy, the Bots are superhuman. Hacking the final objective is an exercise in futility.

Ally bots are brain dead and enemy bots are crack shots with the best battlefield awareness I've ever seen. Somehow, that needs to be balanced. I understand that SD didn't want the player to simply sit back and let the bots complete the entire mission on their own. That said, ally bots need to play *some* role in accomplishing the mission other than being bullet hoses.

It's not that solo Brink fails to emulate the multiplayer experience, it's that it doesn't even try.

All of your recommendations are great. Love them. As a stop-gap, I'd just like them juggle the scripting for ally bots to focus on objectives and escorting the correct classes. If the game is built around playing as a team, I need my bots to understand what I'm trying to do based on my current objective. Also, I would like to not have to play the objective class every single time. Let me play a medic or operative to support/sabotage. I want to play the game the way it was meant to be played, whether I have friends online or not.

I want the A.I. to stop being cheating scumbags. Well, the enemy A.I. at least. Those guys will immediately turn around when they could not possibly see you, and kill you so fast it's not even funny. This is extremely apparent when you're an operative, sneak behind three enemies and begin to open fire, and are killed within the same half second you came out of disguise. Or when you're on a higher position, on a bridge or something looking at the back of two enemies twenty feet away, who turn around and began nailing you with [censored] accuracy with their SMG's.

The friendly A.I.? It'd be nice if they ever did their objectives. Or could fight with half the inhuman murderous intent the enemy uses. Or if they would even revive someone when they walk past them. Instead of standing in a room, twiddling their fingers for a minute ten feet away before maaaaybe deciding to revive you.

Basically, enemy auto-aim down, and ally overall intelligence up. One of the few factors that ruins this game.

So yeah, basically what those two said.

I agree with you guys on alot of your comments. On easy the solo campaigns enemy bots are relentless and overwhelming, which wouldn't be so bad if my friendly bots helped me go after the main objective instead of command post. I feel like a one man army when playing solo campaign, and even though i'm good, sometimes it's still not enough to win the match without propper help against those cyborgs.

I played Early Launch with a different character this time. I had an engineer set up a turret and I blocked off the missile control platform with landmines. The hacker had the missile hacked all the way up to 95% and STOPPED to shoot at enemies that I had covered and hadn't even made it near the platform yet. Of course the hacker bot gets killed and I take out as many as I can but I get overwhelmed and the enemy stop and remove the hack box. If that [censored] bot had kept going I would have won that one.

One of the things that really pisses me off is that the enemy bots, at the higher levels, will execute downed enemies. My bots will still leave them around to be revived. That's how I usually lose. If I don't kill off downed enemies then they will be revived by enemy medics. So that means I have to shoot them down and then make sure that they can't be revived. WTF. I really like this game but the bot AI is so chaotic to the point of being broken.

Agree with all the points you made. If Splash Damage did this, the singleplayer would be very enjoyable.
