Corrupted save in Steam cloud causes CTD

Good morning. This is mostly just a whine session, as I don't expect much help, unless someone knows a way to delete a save from the Steam cloud that works.

Okay, so first, I had this z170 system built for me. One big problem was that the Windows 10 install had a serious problem with DCOM errors causing the entire system to freeze. This is what caused the last save in Oblivion to become massively corrupted. I re-installed the OS and that fixed the freezing issue. But now, the Steam Cloud has that corrupted Quicksave, which causes the CTD as soon as I click on "LOAD". Now, I was able to get past this, to the Save files themselves, and that's how I first learned about the corrupted save. ( I wish I'd tried deleting it then, but I wrongly assumed that Steam Support would help me get this save deleted. BIG MISTAKE!) After following Supports generic suggestions, I cannot get to those save game files, as it crashes.

I also started a support ticket at Bethesda and, of course, after following their generic suggestion response and still having the same issue, I asked for a refund. No go, and no surprise. Then I tried to purchase the game from Bethesda website, only to find that it's marked "Out of Stock"! Wow.

So, if there is a possible work-around, it might be by purchasing a physical game disc. So, a question; will I have to use Steam, anyway, to update the game patches? If not, I'll try and go that route. But if I have to use Steam, I risk finding myself exactly as I am now, only having spent more money on a useless endeavor.

I cannot describe just how frustrating it is that both entities have refused to respond. Heck, at this point I'd settle for one or the other to just be honest and tell me to go pound sand. Sheesh

EDIT: Maybe someday I'll read what I've typed BEFORE posting. I meant I'd started a support ticket at both Bethesda and Steam. In both cases, I got the generic suggestions, and no responses afterward, and in fact, the Steam suggestions made things worse. So, I asked STEAM ( Not Bethesda) for a refund, since the game has been unusable for well over two months now and they seem to not have any answers to my issue, or do not care/have the time to help me repair it.

Can I buy a disc, and not have to go through Steam to patch it? That's really all I need to know. Thanks for any help.
