Cosplay Ideas? : Othor Games

So...I'm going to be going to my 1st Anime/gaming convention in just over a month and a half...and I'd like to dress up, I've got friends who do and such and so, I'm trying to figure out a good costume. I'm a full figured girl, SO, its not a matter of who do I look the most like (no characters...seriously...) but what kind of costume I could pull off, so basically none of those ' lets call this string bikini an outfit' looks lol
Who better to throw ideas out for characters than a bunch of fellow nerds

I dunno, find a character you like and make it work? I might be going to DragonCon in September if the Kung-Fu grip on my wallet loosens. I've decided to either be Manny Calavera or a Loco. I probably won't go because I know there'll be a lot of girls dressed as [censored]tily as they can as to say "I'M TOO DUMB TO COME UP WITH A CLEVER COSTUME SO I'LL JUST SHOW OFF MY BODY!"

You've only got a month and a half, so I wouldn't go and make it too complicated. Oh, and don't worry about what six you are. Nothing wrong with wearing a costume from a character who's of a different six. Makes it more interesting.

We don't know what series you've watched and what you haven't, so it's hard to give good cosplay ideas. Can't really give you suggestions without knowing what shows you've seen

Wells, I really havent seen many animes since theres like a billion and i get overwhelmed trying to pick lol, I'm willing to work in reverse ie, if theres an idea, to then go n watch it n see. I was kinda thinking more game character? As I would know more of those, but its one of those moments where my brain is not cooperating since I'm actually trying to synthesize information

I'm not really one to make game suggestions, but I'd still think listing games you've played would help. If it's not something you care for, it's not really something to cosplay in my book. Otherwise you'll lack the conviction to do a good job and really bring the character alive^TM

OP, I would suggest doing a Manny Calavera on the short notice of the event. Borrow a suit from your boyfriend, create mask, ???, profit.

That's a good idea Howie. It's not revealing at all, and relatively simple to put together. It may not be as mainstream though, so I'd imagine a lot of people going "What are you supposed to be?" where as anyone traditionally dressed would get stuff like "Hey Sephiroth, how's it going?"
