Costumes in AFT

Post » Thu Jul 07, 2016 5:21 pm

Boy, it's at times like this that I miss UFO. I seemed to have more control over what my followers wore back then. Now I can't seem to get my followers to keep their costumes on once I dismiss them. They just revert back to their original outfits again. Any idea how I can get them to keep their outfits on once I dismiss them? Or better still, how I can get them to just remove certain items, like their helms once I leave them?

Are you dismissing them for good..or just "at home"? cause if it's "at home"...use the "dismiss, but hang out here", when you are at home, they will keep on what you give them.. including switching from an "indoor- home" outfit to there armor when outdoor's. I've had the "spouse" switch from an Indoors outfit to a town outfit and then to armor when he left the walled part of town.... ya just have to either ignore the naked second or so... or don't look...

As for helmet's either check the "helmet's only allowed during battle" toggle, take it away or use a mod that makes helmet's invisible.

What you are talking is what the http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71022/? (AFT-MCM version requires the original AFT) mod does.

I only have the original version... can't have the MCM version as I don't have FISS which is a requirement. ...but I will look into that.. be a lot easier to deal with some of the things I like f I don't constantly have to reset them. Totally weird as I have Minimul Hud and it's listed as needing FISS also.. and I just double checked, cause it was a year plus ago that I downloaded that...well both.. MinimalHud and AFT..

I LOVE FISS. So many things it makes possible. Like the preset saving for A Matter of Time.... so I don't have to tweak every setting on a new toon when I create one.... It's not huge either, if you (like me) have limited bw for download.

I'll probably download it and the new AFT version... next data cycle...( or towards the end of this one if I have enough ).. Hubby downloaded and updated a game for the X-box 1 that requires one to play on-line..2 times, cause he thought it had not worked the 1st time...12 GB He missed the part where it said "internet required to play".. the BW we use ( cell phone) isn't good enough for that.. so buy $30....trade in $10. I'd curse..but he feel's bad enough... board off his rocker is what he is.

Comcast is threatening to impose a data cap where I live. I'm really dreading it. I use the internet for practically everything. Heck, I even fall asleep at night listening to audiobooks on YouTube, lol. And to make matters worse there are three other gamers in the house who play online games several hours a day. We're all going to be in sunk if we have to start watching our data consumption.

*sigh* Welcome - NOT - to my world. At least I'm the only "consumer" in this house.

Well not much to do when all you can do is sit in the recliner with your leg up..or lay in bed with your leg up... It's funny.. before I go to work, I set up the games he wants. He has a PS3, PS4 and X-box 1...only 2 can be hooked up at a time. The PS3 all he plays on that is RDR, but it's his favorite game.

That does svck... but like Serethil.. I am used to it... it's Cell phone or Satellite both are pricey...and limited in data usage.

I just dismiss my follower. The ones in question are my housecarls. As soon as I dismiss them they revert back to their original costumes, not the uniforms I've made for them.

Unless you need to buy something from them or have them do something specific, just use the "Dismiss but hand out here" and they will keep wearing the outfit you gave them. When you need to get something, use the regular dismiss. And set it for "helmet's in battle only"

That shouldn't happen when using AFT, so I suggest that you read the AFT Readme book that's in your inventory or cast the AFT Command power spell (the same key as other power spells) then click on the AFT Readme option.

Check the settings for all followers via dialogue or via the AFT Command power spell, but also read the AFT Readme for instructions in case you forgot how to do certain things in-game.

And Areial is right you need to add equipment via diaogue to replace their vanilla equipment. It doesn't matter where you got the new equipment though, just replace their vanilla with either loot or craft new equipment by yourself.
