Do you realize what those are for? They're for welcoming new members not handing out as you please. Atleast not anymore..

Hey, don't hate . . . what if I wanted a fishy stick? Plus, I never got one when I joined a few weeks ago. ;)

I don't give out fishy sticks. Don't like 'em.

I give out blueberry ice cream cones. For anyone who didn't get one when they were new, here: :icecream:

I have lost that love of oblivion after about 5000 hours through countless characters over two years I've burnt out. Though I do have an idea for a new character off of a recent RP character I've made.

I actually kind of envy you. I wish I could go back to when everything in Oblivion was new and you never knew what was coming next. The game is still great to play, but I know the outcome of almost every quest at this point. And I'm on 360, so no mods for me, but that would be awesome to have this game for PC.

I envy new players, too. I wish I could start all over WITHOUT using the quest markers like I used to. :(

Ha ha. What was wrong with Dragon Age? I'm thinking of buying it but curious as to why you didn't like it?

Sorry for late reply.
Nothing is wrong with DA or Witcher or any other game that I ignore on my shelf, it's just that Oblivion seems to fulfill everything I want in a game, and with mods, it is always new. Plus, playing any game that is not open-ended now seems very stifling to me. Give me FREEDOM!!!

There are games where your role has been written for you and you're just an actor in someone else's play. DA is much more that way than Oblivion, so it appeals to people who want someone else to tell them a story, rather than have to write it themselves. At the opposite end of the scale are people like myself who mod Oblivion because it won't let them tell the story they want.

So there's nothing wrong with DA, if that's the type of game you want. It does what it promises to do, but doesn't suit all tastes.

And I thought of Felldew...

I wish I could still be as in to Oblivion as I used to be! I remember like biting my hand to keep from swearing out loud when something in the game didn't go as I wanted it to go and it was like the middle of the night and everyone was sleeping... Oh, and when I starting playing Morrowind whenever I heard a seagull I would look up and expect to see a cliffracer... *facepalm*.

The fact that we're still playing it after 4 years of release means something.. ;)

True, but the way you're completely absorbed in a game the first few times you play is kind of lost after a month or so... :D Like all you think about is playing, when you're at work or school or out somewhere etc. "I wanna get home and close some Oblivion gates!"

Indeed, that's lost. It's happened to me with other games though. :D

I keep getting Oblivion revivals, mostly through watching LPs on youtube actually. Yes, there have been a few times when I hated the game's guts, but I always come back.

I'm addicted. Only problem is I'm trying to download a mod, and my crappy internet is only downloading something like one byte per second :-(
