Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:54 pm

This:
"Okay, so Im on the internet for some time and for all that time I never got why the heck is some male dude who plays HC games watching frickin' my Little Ponny? I know it's not just 12 years (MALE!) kids watching them."

To

This:
"Im not sayin' that when Im a guy I have to look hardcoe and stuff,"

All in the same post? I'm confused.

Because quality entertainment has no age limit and people shouldn't be scared away from watching what they want or doing what they want by social peer pressure.

I don't watch MLP, but I understand the people that do. I frequently watch old Disney cartoons with my girlfriend, is there anything childish about that? Is there any reason I shouldn't do that other than some ridiculous idea that advlts are not supposed to enjoy the stuff they loved as kids?

Yes, you're a [censored]!

Okey so when someone who likes that show shows up, he mostly gets trolled and stuff.
When I make a constructive topic, In which I would like to inform myself(and other ppls as well) before judging anyone I get these kind of answers.
Oh the society and internet...
KTHXBAI

LOL textbook.

1. Be confused and threatened by a cutesy pony show's fanbase demographic

2. Make a reactionary post 'sensibly' implying this is disturbing

3. Get defensive when people call you out on your laughably clueless stance on gender politics

4. ABORT ABORT

5. "Oh the society and internet..."

I don't get what the issue is, you go from saying that "hardcoe males shouldn't be watching this stuff" to "you don't have to be hardcoe just because your male".

You keep contradicting yourself.

Its the internet, its a wild and mysterious place here. Some people are into stuff you normally wouldn't see in real life thanks to the cloak of anonymous.
Don't fret, you could have just not clicked the thread and worry about such things. But your curiosity led you astray in a strange land.

Oh well whats done is done, don't worry about other people's interests, just ignore it.

Because "thougher" guys don't watch this, but the guys who watch this aren't automaticly homo. Now, can we get on the topic.

If watching certain TV shows is what makes you a man, then you have some serious misconceptions about masculinity, OP.

It's a TV show that some of us collectively enjoy. Why do we like it? I can't speak for everyone else but I personally enjoy it because it has some really interesting and well portrayed characters, fun music, the animation style is cool (kinda like Happy Tree Friends) and a lot of the jokes are pretty funny. Sure, the target audience is girls under the age of 15, does that automatically mean we can't watch it? No.

Hope this answers your question. :)

P.S: Like the new avatar? :P

Well, you're kinda putting stereotypes out there. Women belong in the kitchen. Tough guys don't watch stuff that you feel is emasculating. Jokes or not, they are still stereotypes. Just saying.

O RLY

Spoiler
Now go back to kitchen

So when women gets muscles, tatoos, she will be wearing lots of Metal music stuff (There is a difference when she haves just a T shirt of her fav band and when she wears everything with it (I do prefer "harder" music FYI))
So it will make look her more masculine, she can be saying "I am enough feminine to wear this stuff" is that ok?

Because "thougher" guys don't watch this, but the guys who watch this aren't automaticly homo.

People aren't dogpiling you because you're "different". They're dogpiling you because you're a predictable judgemental stereotyping laughable mess.
