Something terrestrial with some limited flying capabilities. Maybe an insect like race.

I'd like a couple more beast races to bring us up to 4 -mer, 4 human and 4 beast. I'm not up to speed on lore, but monkeys and birds seem ripe for anthropomorphising.

Once again: the Imga (ape-men) of Valenwood.
Sure, the Tang-Mo would be interesting too, but at least the Imga are indigenous to Tamriel.

bringing back the dwemer (dwarves. they werent actually short if you didnt know. they were called that because they had encounters with giants) would be a lore breaker. they already vanished when they tried to make a god

Ka PoTun - Tiger people that are beginning to evolve into Dragons.
Tang Mo - Ape People that are allied with the KaPoTun.

Pretty much I just want to take TES to Akavir.

He probably meant classical dvergar-like fantasy dwarves. You know - short, stout, prosaic and belligerent pseudo-vikings with drinking problems that live underground.
Not elven pseudo-Babylonians with clockpunk technology. Besides, the Dwemer may very well be extinct.

Personally, I say keep them out of TES. There are enough races as there is without bringing in new ones from other settings.

Exactly. There's not much need for Tolkienian dwarves when we already have Nords who fill the ale-swilling, axe-brawling barbarian stereotype in a far superior (and taller!) manner.

Just had a quick look through the lore for races on the Elder Srolls Wiki. I'm quite surprised the Imga haven't been included before now. They're a sentient, intelligent race, and they live in Tamriel - in Valenwood, apparently, with the Bosmer. It seems odd that they've not been included by now.

Also, the Sload would be prime candidates, except apparently they struggle to bear their own weight on land.

It's a shame the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Lilmothiit have apparently died out. They'd have been a nice counterpart to the Khajiit.

No, they actually don't they have Dwemer, they aren't short axe-wielding hairy men.
They were about as tall as Imperials, they were pretty much Steam punks. Also there is only 1 surviving but he probably died with Divayth Fyr unless he levitated his tower.

... No. Fail.

Point A: Dwemer are extinct and will never return. Ergo, having them be playable would have to be in a prequel that would eliminate some of the mystery or a sequel that would be inconsistent with prior storytelling.
B: Goblins are technically nonsentient and exist primarily as a slave race for the Altmer, so not a lot of roleplay opportunities there.
C: No, I will not bear with you. Daedra are alien to human psychology and morality totally, therefore playing as one would have to be too different from any other races to be practical in the sense of implementation.
D: There are already other sorts of races from Akavir, Pyandonea and possibly Yokuda that, while fitting the lore, would lose a lot of their mystery and magic to be seen in the flesh, especially if they were common enough to be playable.
E: Maybe "evry1" would get it if you learned to spell.

No, fail. Dwemer aren't actually dwarven.

Goblins
Trap, weapon, poison, magic, armour-using
Grow mushrooms and herd rats
Have a social hierarchy and (since they have shamen) some sort of religious beliefs
They are defnitely intelligent

If TES VI is set in the Aldmeri Dominion discovering more about goblins and liberating them from their Altmer overlords could be a major theme setting them up to emerge as a PC race in TES VII
