What, no one wants to tell him? No matter, I will! ENGAGE WALL'O'TEXT!
So, the game starts with you (Nomad, faceless, has a voice though) in a plane with your squad of Prophet (Squad leader, black, awesome), Psycho (British, violent, humourous), Aztec (Spanish or something, obsessed with conspiracies) and Jester (Black, cracks jokes). Everyone is wearing a nanosuit. Your mission is to rescue American hostages *quietly

* from the North Koreans. These hostages are scientists and archeologists who want to research alien stuff. North Korea wants alien lazarghs and stuff.
You all parachute off but oh noes an alien scout (Flying robot-jellyfish) crashes into your face and your parachute breaks. You faceplant the water and your suit keeps you safe.
Shortly after Aztec dies to aliens. After that, the remaining gang finds a boat significantly inland and FROZEN. Jester says "Looks like someone had a bit of trouble parking their boat!" and the ever famous line: "Since when did the North Koreans have themselves a mother$^@ing freeze-ray?"
He dies shortly after.
You rescue a hostage from the village, and she's whiny and annoying. It turns out she's a CIA agent. Psycho escorts her away.
After some more adventuring Prophet is captured by the aliens and assumed killed. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!1
Then you take orders from someone called Major Strickland. He's awesome. He wears a baseball cap. He's aged and experienced.
You slaughter enemies and enter a research dome, and find another hostage there researching stuff. His surname is Rosethal. His first name escapes me. The alien he was studying asplodes and everything is frozen solid. The player defrosts cause of the suit.
Ummmmm..... You blow up a destroyer and some tanks and then you find the Top Secret Korean Lair in the mines, where Korean General Kyong is. Everyone's right outside some alien-looking door. Kyong punches you in the face and says that he's going to make Korea take over the world with the alien technology. He's with the archeologist hostages, and shoots one in the back of the head because it makes the player feel scared. The player is being held by some Korean nanosuit knockoffs, suit disabled.
Kyong orders explosives to explode, opening the alien door thing which leads into the mountain further. Electricity arcs, the Korean nanosuits vaporise and you survive, as well as Kyong and the remaining hostage, who's name is Helena Rosenthal. One boss fight later, you discover that the mine is crumbling, so a VTOL flies into the mine and rescues Rosenthal. The player falls unconscious and you're caved in.
The only way to go is inside the alien-thingy, because Nomad can't wait for a few hours to be mined out.
Once you enter, everything is anti-gravity and there's some serious WTF where you shoot naked aliens.
You escape and UH OH, the alien machinery mountain mine thing does some stuff and a huge sphere envelops most of the island, freezing everything inside. It looks pretty. After some adventuring, an alien jumps towards your face and is about to NOMNONMNOM but then Prophet (!) shoots it away, and jumps off a cliff to you. It turns out he survived, and he made an alien gun. Weird, because the aliens in Crysis have no guns. Instead, they shoot things through in-built tentacle things. Anyway, Prophet's suit is messing up and you need to escape the sphere (Which is like 200 degrees below freezing). Shortly before escaping you see an alien the size of a carrier flying overhead.
You escape and find the last of the marines PEWPEWPEWing some aliens, and Strickland's there. Neat. Everyone needs to evacuate, when suddenly an alien hunter (basically a tank with 4 huge legs and a freeze-ray, black-hole maker and ice-shooter) breaks out of some rock. Strickland distracts it so the VTOL with you in it can escape, and he dies heroically and sadly.
You fly a VTOL to the carrier.
Once at the carrier you meet up with Psycho and Helena. Psycho captured an alien (See Crysis Warhead), and then the alien comes back to life after being struck by lighting. It turns out that aliens absorb electricity and stuff.
You meet Admiral Morrison, the best character in Crysis. He wants to nuke the aliens and their sphere of freezing, but Helena advises otherwise. Morrison says "If you want guarantees, buy a toaster!" It turns out that the entire mountain on the island is an alien spaceship.
You go to the armoury and see Prophet, Psycho, Helena, a gun which shoots nukes, and a scientist. Everyone's amazed at how Prophet made/found the alien weapon, but he explains nothing. Prophet's hydro-thrusters (Used to move in anti-gravity) are upgraded, he steals the alien weapon, and runs away to steal a VTOL to fly back to the island.
Later, Admiral Morrison nukes the island (and Prophet), and the freezing sphere gets bigger. Aliens attack the carrier, so you take the nuke-shooting gun and kill an alien hunter with normal guns. The alien the size of a carrier pops up, so you nuke it a few times. It's about the crash onto the carrier, but Psycho flies a VTOL nearby and you make a dash onto it. Helena is onboard. The alien carrier-sized thing explodes and black-hole-ifies and you all fly back towards the island. Psycho receives a radio transmission from Prophet: He's alive!
The camera changes to a heroic third-person for the first time, and then the game ends.
Aegis, that's a tad bit too much info. But very descriptive though, but you missed the story from Crysis:Warhead. But its okay, I think he'll get you.
