The hosting would be separate server to existing ESO (so completely no influence), just a plain world that is updated with community content and same time is automatically MMO.

I honestly hope they support it somehow, but not online.
The game is not being planned as an online version.
Its a huge taking I seriously hope they help them finish it and maybe sell it as a spinoff for 10-15€, as I would buy it for sure.
Lol right, these screenies look so amazing! I hope there isn't an MMO version, however would be the most amazing final expansion pack (crosses fingers in futility for a 360 port)
I also bet that if they get into it, they can alter the story line since right now, since its a "free time" project it will most likely be loosely based on the morrowind story line.
They are doing a great job on par with the MERP skyrim project which got shut down by greedy people unfortunately .
Yes, because protecting your copyrights and IP is 'greedy'
Last I heard, Skywind, Like Morroblivion was still a disallowed subject since it imports assets and material between games.
I don't think Bethesda even really likes the idea of Skywind being talked about on the official forums let alone being talked out. I think in their eyes, it's sort of undermining the work of the developers who created Morrowind.
Even more unlikely, I think. and even then there would have to be some work done to it to downscale the textures; Skywind is more demanding on the system than Skyrim.
I'm closing this one as fanmade mods for Skyrim has nothing to do with the upcoming Elder Scrolls Online.
I also see little use for online hosting as fanmade mods are not going to allow you to play online.
