Could someone upload a few files from original QTP3?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 7:56 pm

Hi!

I currently have QPT3 redimized, but I'm afraid there's a bug or something, with one of the textures or meshes. It's hard to explain, but if you look at the exterior fort-"floors", there's this really weird ... dotted lines that move when you move. They kind of float with the texture. It's hard to explain. You have to see it in movement...

Now, to rule that QPT3 redimized is related to this, I was wondering if someone here could upload the meshes and textures temporarly. The reason I ask this is because QTP3 is an exe installer... and I don't wanna mess my game up by doing something like that now. So, when I mean QTP3, I mean the original one: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=2363

The files I would want you to upload is:

Data\Textures\Dungeons\fortruins\exterior
Files in this folder =
rffloor01.dds,
rffloor01_n.dds

Data\Meshes\Dungeons\FortRuins\Exterior\Castle
Files in this folder =
rfcastlewalk00roomfloor,
rfcastlewalk01.nif, rfcastlewalk02.nif, rfcastlewalk03.nif,
rfcastlewalk04.nif, rfcastlewalk04a.nif, rfcastlewalk05.nif,
rfcastlewalk05a.nif, rfcastlewalk06tostairs

If someone does this, it would be very appreciated :P
And I owe you a thanks in advance. :foodndrink:

I don't think the QTP3 download is an exe. And if it would be you can always install it in a separate folder so it won't affect your current install. That is, if you don't get someone to upload the files for you.

I downloaded QTP3 before to check. It's an exe in a zip-file...
There's a QTP3 omod but that doesn't really help me in this case.

I just need a few files so I check compare them with QTP3 redimized to find out if there's a bug or not :P

I'll save you the time - there's a bug, and someone at some point posted the corrected textures for it but that post is long gone now. I think all that was done was taking the original QTP3 texture and normal map and reducing their size down to match the other Redimized files.

Are you using detailed terrain or PyFFI? Also, can you upload a picture? I don't remember having problems but I also have many mods installed like Detailed Terrain.
Install order usualy is UOP, QTP3R, QTP3 Patch.

Ah okay... thanks for the info!
I thought it was related to the alpha channel at first. It looked strange.

Anyway, is there a possibility that someone could upload the texture and normal map of rffloor01 then? :)
So that I might fix it.

Or perhaps someone who has the default installed already can fix this and upload the file for other to install as well?

Doesn't QTP3 R already has all files from the QTP3 patch included and "redimized"?
If you install QTP3 Patch after redimized, you'd be losing some of the redimized files?

At least I think so. Someone who can confirm?

Install order: UOP, QTP3R, QTP3R patch, QTP3-UOP32 patch installed afterwards.

Also check out this issue: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/305659-qtp3-redimized-colournormal-map-issue/ - User forgot BSA Redirection!

The UOP+QTP3 patch addresses mesh fixes, not texture fixes. So that patch works for any version of QTP3 since all that does is turn the parallax flags back on that the UOP doesn't support.

Oh I thought you meant the QTP3 patch itself.
Ah yeah, the UOP+QTP3 patch, that one I have as well ^^

That transparent rock fix...
I don't have that mod, but I don't got the problem with QTP3R, so I assume it's fixed there by default.

Thanks :) but... when I tried to unpack it it said that the compression wasn't supported by the format, or something like that.
Could you try to re-compress it with another compression level or something?
No idea why it would say something like that otherwise

Had to dig for the files that fixed it: http://www.4shared.com/file/quo_X7H0/QTP3FortFloorFix.html

Got confused when I tried to resize the QTP3 one down again and it looked like crap in game until I went to my custom BSA pack and realized someone did the fix and added the missing parallax info to the texture file.

This should get unpacked to textures\dungeons\fortruins\exterior

There! Thanks a lot Arthmoor!

You should upload it on TESNexus or something. There might be more people who would want it :D
