Could use some help tracking down a good player house mod

Hey :)

I've been having a bit of difficulty finding a house mod that fits what I'm looking for, so maybe you guys could help me out.

I've looked through Oblivion Real Estate and the House Mods on TES Nexus, but I just can't find something that clicks with me. I'm basically looking for the following: A reasonable, medium-larger sized house that I can basically put most of my treasure and loot in. I'm looking a house that's still cozy, so I'd prefer a fairly compact house with distinct areas rather than a huge winding castles with an endless maze of hallways. I'm looking for a house that still feels like a house, so it's got a study, dining area, etc, looks like it can actually be lived in, but also has at least some open space to display the gems/weapons/armor that I've gained in my travels.

Oh, I'd prefer it has no uber items in it (Or at least items I could get rid of. Like, preferably not an entirely stocked library of all the skill books that I can't open and get rid of cuz then I'd end up cheating)

Anyway, if you guys have any house mods that you personally use and like, I would take any suggestions :)

Also, I'm wondering if there are mods out there that add armor mannequins? I looked all over but I can't track them down, I'm just looking for any mannequins that can display your armor. I guess that would be a plus if it was included in the house mod, or if anyone can find the standalone mod that would be cool too.

Thanks in advance.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1037767-reds-home-of-relz-homes/ and http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1156662-relz-khettiennas-lot-o-mods make wonderful houses, you could find something that interests you.

As for the mannequins, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2055 is the standard mannequin mod, I don't know if there is something more recent.

Weye Manor from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22828 is a good medium-large house in a nice central location (plus the mod overall is great, it adds lots of personality, interesting quests, and NPCs). When you first aquire the Manor, you're given the choice to have a large entrance room be either a cozy sitting area or a display area.

I like Emma's Aleswell and several of Khettienna's house mods, as well, for that cozy/lived-in feeling, but I'm not sure any are optimal in terms of loot display--maybe Star's Rest, which at least has a mannequin?

As I'm not much into display cases, I'm not sure how much this mod contains of it, but I think http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35485 sounds like something you might like, and I'm pretty sure there are at least some very unique display cases in it. (EDIT: I checked ingame, yes, there are two very unique display cases in it)

Thank you for the heads-up on my Aleswell Cottage, DreamKing, but I have to agree that this probably isn't what Killaer is looking for, as it isn't optimal at all for loot display.

Thank you guys very much for all the suggestions already :D

Yeah, I'm basically looking for a combination between display and coziness. Nobody wants to live in a museum, y'know, but it's nice to have some space for putting down the armor and weapons I've found on my travels (Particularly all the cool looking new ones from mods!)

I checked out Amen'thalas Well House by Khettienna. Extremely cozy, I liked it a lot, but very little space for displaying. The thing about it that I don't really like is how she populated the house with so many custom models and containers. It deffinitely makes everything seem cozier, but I'd like to populate my own house with the books clutter, etc. that I find on my travels. Still, a great house mod.

I'll check out the house that you posted Emma, thanks. Keep the suggestions coming, I'm still checking all these out, and thanks again :)

Yeah, I don't really do loot display. And Amen'thalas is... a very atypical house, in just the way you mentioned, and not what I'd recommend for you at all.

I'll point you back to WhoGuru. Autumn Cottage in Wellspring Vale, Halcyon House, and Peruggia's Passage all have plenty of display room, and are excellently done.

Personally I like the http://privat.bahnhof.se/wb220832/oblivion/download.html, as far as somewhat in terms of what you are looking for. I have some others that I like as well, but those are all either too small or too large, considering what you described. This is the one made by Ceano, which I like. The http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4089 was only accessible via teleport. I also like Ceanos ayleid ruin mod that makes them look less "ruiny" (which is also on that page).
