okay folks.. first thread got locked due to post count (dont remember where in the rules it talks about why that is :P but no matter)

this threads focus is to talk about and dicusse features of the up comming, County Sutch Mod, and the Released Sutch Reborn Mod.

two very diffrent, but similar mods :) both by me :P

so any dev news on county sutch, or questions bout sutch reborn will be posted here :) or i would like to be posted here... in the case of questions :P

Threads that get too long put an excessive strain on the servers, but there are other reasons as well (I frequent another forum that sets it at ~1000 posts) ;)

and yes, the new version is waiting on voice acting... once its done, i will make sure everything is fixed up nice and neat, and might release v1... hehe

Great trailer. The Morrowind theme is perhaps on the of the most amazing themes ever written, so yes it does much to enhance an already great trailer.

Anyway, great to see this progressing.

About Sutch Reborn 8.2, I know it relies on the DCRP, but I'd rather not install that entire thing for just one mod. Does anyone know an easy way to determine what resources are actually used in SR8.2? My thinking is I'll delete the actual resource files that aren't used, since I doubt SR uses the entire 1 gig or whatever. Thanks.

its hard to say exactly what it uses to be honest.... i agree... i know it dosnt use the whole 1 gig.. county sutch will require dcrp too... and it will require far more than dcrp...

as for Sutch 8.2... there is very very little that is used from the dcrp... im not even 100% sure that it requries it indefintly... i will need to go back and double check that...

as for County Sutch... it will use a good portion of the resources... inaddtion to tis unique resoruces....

i have no great new achivments to report in on county sutch, other than ive started working on it again, and the royal crypt is being compelted atm... then the kngihts hall, and the various other tune ups that are requried here and there..

all of the basic city npcs have thier daily ai... areas will be redfiend, and spruced up as we go, but things are looking very promissing...

we are begning to work on the quests soon, startin off with a way to break into the quarinitiend city, and to solve the mysteries of the past ;) then lauunch into the first main arc.... and then possibly a second arc later ;)

im currently working on the dark shade sides of the town, where the db, theives, and other factions resdie :)

HAHA! I completly approve of this modification, I'm truly happy that my original concept is still going on long after I left.

Odd thing happened, I accidently stumbled upon the video of this mod, boy was i surprised, (and a little creeped out of seeing my portrait still in game (its an actual self portrait lol))

Keep up the good work, I'm going to have to reinstall oblivion to see it for myself.

hehe i noticed the portrait... it was the only one i kept :P

ehm, its now writen into the storyline that it was the founder of sutch :) arron sutch :)

the version on nexus, is all based off of your old concepts, and creation... there is a new version that is comming up that is compeltly redone and is going to be a closed city, with more quests and stuff... i just grew your sutch mod so big that it cant suport itself without horible lag anymore :P lol

9 quest or so, plus the full working city of sutch, and the ruins of the city of kato :D

i would be honored for yout o check it out mate

ps, the reason i came to check this thread :)

Sutch Reborn (avaible on nexus) is now free of the DCRP requirement, and can be played just with the base Oblivion.esm :)

What do you mean by that? Is Sutch Reborn just the town and County Sutch adds quests or something?

Sutch Reborn is the orginal mod by ADCK, that is an open city, inbetween the srhine of malacath, lord drads estate, the brena river, and the old fort sutch..
this mod is compete, full with quests, ai, and all...

County Sutch, is going to be the new mod, set to the east of the old fort sutch in a hill side, it will be a closed city, and have custom architecture, and other unqiue features, along with its own questline...

may be possible to play both together in the end, not sure... but county sutch is desgined to be the replacement... hehe

ah, well there has been little work on the main city as of late, but that is becuase i been playing dragon age orgins.. AND working on the new sutch docks expansion :) which will now be an optional esp for those who find conflcits in it :)

now... i need to ask the general public...

i need names for 2 islands, and 2 island chains

so if anyone can help me out with contributions would be nice

the first four quests for this mod are done, in addition to the base city :) quest 3 has a bug that is being worked on atm... then progress will resume on this mod

Why not used lore based islands - there are several off the western coast of tamriel - see http://www.imperial-library.info/maps/cyrodiillargelowrescr7.jpg. Download that and then you can enlarge for more detail.

Just south of the western most. there is an island chain called simply The Chain (part of hammerfell but there is other stuff too).

Not sure if your keeping up but most parts of a http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1073491&st=0 (the moddable heigtmaps anyway) will be available in the near future.

How finished is sutch reborn? I'm running into a few oddities, and am wondering if I have an installation problem, or if the mod is just incomplete.

I've finished the first few quests - and conan has given me a few keys to a "vault." but I can't seem to find this vault. is there somewhere i haven't found yet? or is this something remaining to be finished?

its in the castle walls, you know the walls that run around the actual keep? there is alot of contenet in the walls :) including the dungeons, vaults, and barracks...

can not say that i have ever gotten such an issue as that before... i would assume it as you say... a conflict with another mod... try raising sutch reborn on your load order...

and the reason you could not find a thread on sutch reborn 9, is because the mod is finished, and no longer being worked on ;) but i don't mind taking questions here on the old sutch reborn 9 :)

as for the conflict... not sure what else to suggest other than that...

you could always uninstall sutch 9, and install new haven...

ps. boss is always an option for load order... you do have quite a few mods :) most of them ive never used before :P some of them i have heard of though... so im not the best one to ask on load order... im not as well versed as i should be in current mods :(

Yeah, I thought as much. Thanks for the response anyway - I'm already using BOSS to order my mods, and rather than load Sutch earlier and risk other conflicts, I installed http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30519 (a nifty little tool which automatically repairs holes in the landscape) to temporarily hide the tears until I can find another solution (or until County Sutch is out!).
