Kids now have eyes and hair, but I saw 1-2 baldies.

Proper versions of FCOM packages(AFAIK)

I've finished up an fcom install, but I've been noticing a few problems. I kind of expected that I'd have a couple, its been a while since I installed anything, so I needed to catch up on BAIN(did manage to convert all the basic FCOM packages into proper BAIN packages though, and it seems really useful.) I'm running cobl / cobl races and better cities, so there's kids running around the cities. However, none of them have any hair or eyes. Moreover, I can't seem to deactivate salmo the baker(cobl version -- I have CTDs and BOSS says this might be causing them. I'm also not seeing new hairs when making a new character or in showracemenu, but I DO see the new races, and they work properly. Are all the new hairs female or something? lol. Here is the BIG problem though -- I can't modify my bashed patch at all! Whenever I try to rebuild it, stdout gives me this!

Right. Fun, awesome, cool. It's having trouble with something eyes related. What could the problem be? Cobl races? That and the Khajit fix that comes with EVE are the only two things I'm importing for race records. It was last updated on the 31st...so that's a problem because I now have an outdated bashed patch that I can't rebuild at all. Moreover, how should I even have it set up? Fcom has almost zero instruction on what needs to be where, and I think mine's messy / imports too many things. Specific instructions on how to set up a standard FCOM bashed patch would be really great, but I can't find any. All the guides I've read are greatly done and very detailed until they come to Bash, where they pretty much all say, "Make your bashed patch and go." I'd also like to use Pyffi, but its too late :\. I'd only destroy my game if I tried, and my performance isn't meh enough for a reinstall(good enough with OBGE / edgeAA / SSAO, so not really worth it.) Also, please don't bother asking me for a DXDiag, I'm having load order / patch problems anyway, my drivers are up to date, and my codecs are neat(I've dealt with all that before, so I know the signs and causes). Oh, I also have all the relevant python installations(used Wrye's package) If there's anything else I should post other than patch overview and load order, feel free to let me know, it's been a while.Sorry for the long post.

That error was fixed in 281, though it's exhibiting some funny behavior of its own. Also, in the future, use Bash's thread for Bash questions.

Oh wow, I have 280. Looks like I missed 281 somehow.

ED: New bashed fixed kids and I can see new hairs / eyes.

Well, kids all have eyes now, but a lot still don't have any hair. I'm also still getting CTDs, almost all of which are on area loads(less often though :D) I'm starting to also wonder if CM Companions have faction problems w/ FCOM or better cities, since I've had specific basic ones(Mimi, Sly, and some other guy) that have seen a random npc in a city and gone all out for blood on them, causing huge bloodbaths in inns / taverns. I reload since..well..yeah, but I ditch these companions that freak out in the woods, or kill them if they're not essential. Haven't seen it since I rebuilt..but..it was a problem.

But of note..the BOSS log is telling you Plenty of things, It is really helpfull to get used to reading what it is telling you for instance....(from your BOSS log

Remove all of those OOO optional plugins except for ++ OOO-Water_Weeds.esp [Version 1.33] and ++ OOO-Magic_Script_Effect_Fix.esp [Version 1.33]. They are not supposed to be used with OOO FULL.

Same thing but differant? they are Both VWD of the IC. One (top one) is vanilla the other would be the one you want ...as its from BC .

Like i said Wait for confirmation someone will confirm or deny this.

Have you tried removing the REAVWD IC plugin as well? Remember to rebuild your bashed patch, and then re-run TES4LODGen at the end (if you use it.)

done. Still have CTDs. Love TES4LODGen though.

Remove one of the FCOM Entropic order plugins. You should only use ONE. Try removing the MMM Looting NPCs and Creatures plugin, along with Hunting & Crafting. How is your CPU doing as your run this setup? Removing those MMM options should reduce the load some. Also, unmerge and activate the OOO script effect fix. Merging it and deactivating it after the bashed patch defeats the purpose of it being loaded late as it is.

Removed looting NPCs / creatures, since I seem to remember AI changing mods having CTD problems. Removed one of the Entropic Order rebalance plugins, and fixed the OOO Script Effect Fix(what does it actually do?) Anyway, I did keep Hunting and Crafting. I'm running a watercooled, overclocked I7, so I'm not having CPU issues that I'm aware of, and I'd like to keep it unless its a CTD causer.

If you do not know what it does, you probably do not need it. I think that mod is supposed to be used when you use a script effect silencer that affects OOO's effects. Check http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/OOO/OOO_Guide.html if you want to know. Hunting and Crafting should be okay. I think some people have had problems with it before, but you are right about your CPU.

Edit: It is actually a normal script effects silencer, removes light and sound effects. From the ReadMe:

OOO-Magic_Script_Effect_Fix.esp
Resides in Use with: Full and Lite
This optional add‐on is meant for people who use another third‐party mod that changes the script‐ effect spell entry. With this option enabled, script‐effect spells will not produce any sound or visual effects. This is included already with the Full and Lite versions, but it may still be necessary also to install this plugin file in cases where another mod changes the script‐effect MGEF entry and is loaded after Oscuro’s Oblivion Overhaul. That is because this can cause some OOO custom features that rely on Area of Effect scripted spells to produce a bothersome sound and light. If that is necessary, just load this plugin after said mod.4 Use this only if you are using another mod that changes the script‐ effect MGEF entry.

Welp, I rebuilt patch, added MOBS to the official DLCs, and adjusted my leveled lists in the bashed, and now I get more CTDs. However, all of my CTDs are when loading cells. Do I just need Streamline? I thought that was purely a performance/RAM thing, and I've got 6GB of the stuff(and a 64-bit OS / LAA patched Oblivion.exe)

Part of what Streamline does does pertain to RAM, but not in the since you may think. It is partly a buffer manager. Oblivion has pretty bad memory management, and that will not change no matter how much RAM your setup has, so I recommend installing SL. However, you probably have problems originating from something else as well, so please post your current load order (with Wrye Bash.)

Edit: You may also want to install the OGE tool until you are sure your setup works somewhat properly.

What OGE tool? Also, I installed Streamline and set its settings according to the wiki. Here's my new load order. However, I am thinking that my problem originates from the bashed patch, which there still aren't terribly clear instructions on what to import where with FCOM.

I do not know what Wiki you used to setup the sl.ini, but I have some recommendations of my own. Your SL.ini was the one I used, and I just now followed the advice for your Bashed Patch. Mine now includes much more, so maybe it was anemic before. Do you think the OGE support plugin is causing issues with crashes, or is that just performance advice?

EDIT: Didn't actually copy.paste that INI, made the suggested changes myself.

Well, I'm prone to give up. Something went wrong. I didn't change *anything*, but I think that this character and his adventures are sunk for now, maybe forever. I can't even make it two minutes before a CTD, and these ones are not tied to loading new areas or waiting. I went to Leyawiin(Permanent Retirement), and I'm trying to nail Phillida with the rose as he bathes, but...my game crashes either after a few seconds of looking at him(his armor is still on), or if I attempt to wait in his proximity. It seems to me like the trigger is Phillida's AI attempting to switch clothes in order to bathe and then swim. Could it be an inventory / AI problem with him, or is this save game corruption?

It could be save game corruption, but you can test that by rolling back to an earlier save. I think you should check Phillida's AI in TES4View/Edit to see which mods are changing him and try to picking them off one at a time. First, try unchecking all of the AI imports in the bashed patch.

Yeah, rolled back a save and he now bathes properly. Put the Rose of Sithis right through his heart. Now I'm back down to the usual, odd CTDs that occur when loading new content. Not really sure what to do about those at this stage. Maybe that's my save too :\
