Couple of Newbie Questions

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 10:54 pm

I'm just a couple levels into the game. Am playing on PS3, so my first is a console related question.

1. So magic works like you equip a spell to one of your attack buttons? If I keep switching back and forth to the screen it's a gameplay killer, from what it looks like. I've stuck to mostly melee because of it. And it looks like there's not quick "armor set" option where you can just switch back and forth? I almost feel like not using magic at all, is that viable?

2. I had a follower who died. Every time I try to get a new follower, they tell me it looks like someone else is already following me. How do I get past this?

3. It seems like I'm blowing through levels fast because of lock picking, speech craft and a couple miscellaneous blacksmithing/alchemy levels. Do the levels start to slow down and not push through as fast with the lower level skills?

4. I'm a Whiterun. Is there a bank in this game? Carrying all my situational armor around makes it tough to pick up stuff and make money.

1) Not sure what you mean, just assign what magic you want to the favorites menu, then use left/right triggers to assign a spell to either hand.
2) Some people are getting this bug, will hopefully be patched.
3) No not really, as you get higher skills, when you go up you get even more towards your level. Example going 80 to 81 would give a lot more towards your next level than 30 to 31. But the amount you need for the next level increases, so it balances.
4) Follow the main quest until you get to the dragon you have to kill, then you have the option of buying a house for 5000.

Thanks for the quick response.

Maybe I haven't played with magic enough.

Thanks for the quick response, and yeah, looks like i have the bug for #2.

What are good ways to make money? Every time I get close to even 1,500 gold it seems like I have a zillion things to buy that make it impossible for me to save up heh.
