A couple questions about MAO

First off, this is an excellent mod. It probably does more for Morrowind's atmosphere than any other other I've seen.

I couldn't find it's actual release thread to post these in, so I'll have to ask in a new thread:

1. When exactly do the files in "Music\AO\Explore\Global" get played? I wanted to increase my soundtrack with my own files, but just adding them there doesn't seem to do anything. I'd expect those files to play when randomly wandering around exploring the wilderness, but outside of cities the only music that seems to play are the short atmospheric clips from the "AO\Explore\Regions" folder.

2. Is it safe to merge the plugins? There's at least 11+ not including the addons, which all in all clutters up my mods list quite a bit. If possible I'd like to merge them down to either 1 esm and 1 esp or just all into a single plugin. I know some mods are recommended not to be merged, but I haven't seen any talk regarding MAO and merging. I did find a post http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1505471-morrowind-acoustic-overhaul/#entry23816063 that has a merged version, but I'd like to know if merging them at all is safe before hand. Is there any special trick that needs to be done when merging mods that make use of the script extender?

3. Is it compatible with animation replacers? I noticed that the animations in the "animation compilation" overwrite MAO's files and I'm wondering if that will have any negative effects. I assume it has to do with the footstep sounds?

Where did you DL this mod? I had trouble getting it running. Does it work with other SFX mods? Im currently using Wilderness sounds.
