I stumbled onto Covenant earlier this week and took the test to enter the town. After completing, the guy who gave me the test said he would unlock the door for me, but I had some Super Mutants engage me in a random encounter. The guy who was supposed to unlock the door ran after them, and when he came back, he neglected to unlock the door. He tells me to go on in and stop by and see some lady or trader.

So, in a nutshell, I'm locked out of Covenant and I really don't want to reload a save to retry entry, because I have another 3 hours into the game and it would be a major waste of time to reset now. I figure this will probably get patched soon, but if anyone else had this problem and was able to figure out a work around, I'd love to hear it. Or if you have the problem as well, maybe you can make your voice heard.

This may or may not be on Bethesda's priority list. I would recommend reloading as it would be far easier than depending on a fix that may or may not be in Bethesda's priority list. It's also possible that it was a one time random game hickup. Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas both did random things like this for me in the previous Xbox 360 gen, and reloading an hour or two before it occured usually worked.

I know. I should have reloaded the second it happened. Gaaaaaaah, I promised myself I wouldn't get into this kind of a bind. Do you know if there is anything in Covenant that is worthwhile? Like say a bobblehead or something major or impactful? If not, I might just let it go lol

Its a settlement later on and a well defended one.

Gaaaaaah... well then I'm going to have to hope they patch it. Or wait for the modders to do it lol.
