Cowboy Repeater

Post » Fri Dec 25, 2009 3:01 am

I'm playing on the PC version and I've noticed that after firing my entire magazine and reloading I have to wait a couple of seconds (usually 1-3) before I can aim and shoot again, or even open doors or loot.

Is this happening to anyone else, or does anyone have a fix?

Do any of you have the 25% faster reload perk? It may be connected with this bug. This does occur on multiple weapons.

Yeah the Cowboy Repeater takes a couple seconds to reload. Its annoying but just use the gun when your 1 on 1

This is being reported all over the place.

All per-shot reloading weapons seem to do it (ie, revolvers, repeaters).

FYI don't know if you know this, but if you click fire while reloading, you'll cut the reload short and can continue shooting with what you've loaded so far!

My hunting rifle was doing that to me last night. I would reload and couldn't fire right away, sometimes I had to wait ten seconds or more. Dunno man.

Had this happen too in the middle of a heated gunfight with the .357 Magnum...took several hits while I was trying to switch to a different weapon instead of reload.

Guess the game made it up for me when I got a non-Vats head critical which killed my metal armored opponent after it let me switch to the Service Rifle.

Just to clarify, this is not a complaint about the reload time. There is an actual bug where the gun won't fire -- and you can't do anything else -- even after the gun is reloaded.

It definitely happens to me sometimes. Not often enough to make the guns not worth using, because they're really effective, but yikes, it creates some panic when there's a mutant in your face and you can't shoot him.
