[WiPz] CRAFT 2.0

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 3:09 am

Well, I was hoping to keep this secret, but, I have been keeping you guys in the dark for quite a while now. Let's just say that I am working closely with ElminsterEU to add some VERY special functionality to CRAFT. ElminsterEU however hurt himself very badly not too long ago, and is unable to work on his computer without putting himself in unbearable pain. I COULD continue production of CRAFT 2.0, but it would significantly increase the production time, and I still wouldn't release CRAFT 2.0 until that functionality was added anyway. ;)

Any news on how EminsterEU is doing?

Wow... talk about a (/another) grim taste of reality. I hope you are doing well ElminsterEU, I wish you a speedy recovery.

CRAFT 2.0 sounds really awesome, I look forward to playing with it.

Sad to see this die. And I hope EEU has not suffered the same fate.

Hopefully Highsight has heard from him, or is able to contact him. For EEU to be missing for this long is troubling, what ever happened had to have been very serious.

I'd like to hear some news, good or bad, about the future of the project, and the health of Elminster.

That post from when he talked about Elminster was in September. I've talked to Elminster since then, things seemed to be getting better with his injury at the time. He's been releasing FO3edit updates, I think? so, yeah.

Ok, here I am being a grave-digger, BUUuuttt... After taking an extended break from FO3, I've decided to reload and update all my mods. I am still using CRAFT 1.25, and was wondering about the status on this. Has 2.0 been released and if so, where can i get my grubby lil hands on it?

No - but there have been about three craft extension type mods attempting to correct, extend, expand craft.

They all gave me issues except the one integrated into FWE.

Personally, I can't help but wonder if it would be possible to create an armour dis/re-assembly mod. Considering that we already have Tailor Maid, which allows you to add parts from armours onto other armours, it seems like letting you take apart armour into a bunch of parts and re-assemble it into something unique would be an extension of what we already have. It's just a matter of figuring out how to semi-dynamically create items, no?
