Hello everyone as promised I am making my poll and the other thread will be closed. Too bad none of you posted anything except for one guy. Guess the forums are not quite as active as before.
Basically if your going to make a suggestion or a post try to stay on topic and make suggestions rooted in crafting and customization. If you can come up with something better then these then I will amend the poll. If not well I am sorry.
BETHESDA!!!!!!!! if you put this in do not make the same mistake as obsidian and limit customization to player weapons. It was a large disappointment to people loving realism to see that all these mods were only used by one guy or girl lol. not that new Vegas wasn't brilliant or anything.

-=SHORT HAND=-
Would you like to customize your weapons & armor in skyrim? (armor dyes, weapon tints & colors, carve words into armor and weapon, customize ammunition such as arrows bolts and so on, augment armor and weapons with parts from daedra animals and beast alike, ect. Also customizable shields thanks to the inspiration from Cratesmasher)
Don't forget to vote.
-=EXPANDED DETAILS=-
(this will be long winded as warned. ) This gives individual details on what this could possibly be. But if we just show were interested in more customization they will see that and fill the need in that part of the game. So if you want it complain about it lol :goodjob:
-=Armor dyes=-
Very simple actually. If we take a trip back in time we find that early on people would die there clothing using animal blood, berries, graqes, leaves, and many other things for a bit of vanity. So if you have a leather armor you could die the pauldrons red, chest plate black, and so on. (I know morrowind fans will love this seeing as the parts they dye would be the parts of armor we use to have.) You could also die your facial hair, your hair, and mustache of course. BUT! to die the equipment you have to either buy or collect the necessary items to do so.
-=Weapon tints=-
For a very long time our blades and bows and arrows have been personalized for our own individual taste and needs. They added a new crafting element in the game. You can now make your own armor and weapons. So with that why should you not add a black stained blade or so on to your weapon of choice? Maybe you like the ornate Akavir (katanna) that have a black twisted dragon going up the blade made by a master blacksmith or what ever it's your weapon and it's 2011 you should be able to decide what you want not just have the same sword everywhere.
-=Weapons and armor names=-
It is often weapons and armor's are given names by there user. For example Umbra the sword who had the trapped soul of Umbra a powerful warrior who cut a piece of a dadera lord himself. (still waiting to figure out what happened to him greg keys!)
So why not allow us the player to carve out and name our equipment as we see fit unless it were a quest item or already named. (you cannot take out a scratch in real life from a weapon can you?) It isn't like we couldn't do a similar bit in oblivion when you enchanted a weapon.
-=Munition Customization=-
Munition is basically arrows bolts and what ever else you can shoot or throw at an enemy. The suggestion is simple. Allow us to pick up feathers and other items off animals we kill or buy them from the store and place them on our bolts and arrows. Allow us to customize the color of the arrow and let us make our own arrows by cutting out branches and roots from a tree. Each type of wood and feather or whatever item you add will have an effect on your shot and what it does to the target. A dragon scale arrow made from the bones and scales of a dragon would do fire damage or whatever and look plain awesome. This could easily be implemented if given enough time for artist to make good use of it. after all there are months left till release and we still will have dlc.
-=Augment Weapon and Armor=-
As it is you get a sword or a bow and its always the same unless you enchant it. What if you could do more. What if you could upgrade your weapons and armor. What if you could add weight too your sword to balance it out, or add a different grip to increase damage, or add a deer skin to your bow to increase its power and range, maybe dragon scales to your armor to make it fire proof or semi fire proof, or put dadroth teeth on your arrow heads or what have you. To be honest I would crap my pants if this went in. It would bring so much more fun to killing animals and beast and dragons. Being able to actually use parts of an animal instead of just cutting off meat or whatever. If done properly this could be very big for this RPG.
-=Shield Customization=- Thank Cratesmasher for reminding me to include it if you like this.
Shields have came a long way, in morrowind we had a chance of block, with oblivion we actually controlled the shield and in skyrim we will actually be able to bash our enemies with it I hear so that puts shields into a class of there own if you choose to use them. They are a hybrid weapon/ armor. On to the ideas for shields. below.
Allow us to add in spikes, blades, and teeth and scales from things we kill to add to damage and defense. A spike from a dragon tail would say poison if bashed or cause fire damage from its acid like flammable blood, or its scales could protect you from the monsters breath. Maybe you want to take it a step further and cut a groove in the side like the pike men did so you could put your blade through it continuously guarding and attacking with swords and magic, but taking up large sums of stamina and lower your shields defense. If you are using a very large shield we call a tower shield you could both add in augments and insignia's. Say the symbol on the front of the dragon or what ever Bethesda's impressive line of artist could come up with. For pc users you should allow them to make there very own insignia. Please refer to Augment Weapon and armor for more details on adding stats and custom looks to your gear like the shield.
