Crafting music

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 4:09 am

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention this. I was watching part 1 of the making of fallout 4 video. A little past half way Todd is talking about crafting settlements and mentioned one of the devs made an in game sound producing device that could be tuned to produce different noises.

I hope this makes it into the game, and we can make background music for our settlements.

I remember he mentioned that you can make a pitch shifter (not in those exact words) with the consoles in the settlement tools. So this means you would have some kind of inventory of sounds you can manipulate with the console. (once you are at the level you can install one and connect it to stuff)

You can load various softwares on the http://orcz.com/Fallout_4:_RobCo_Termlink such as the http://orcz.com/Fallout_4:_Remote_Lightbox_Control_Panel to control lights.

Am guessing there will be similar software to control sounds.

If so, I'll program it to play Justin Bieber tunes that will surely drive the raiders away

Don't do that they will send more troops to your base just to destroy the music... unless of course you want to kill more raiders.

Justin Bieber sounds like the female Deathclaw's mating call, and where there are horny female Deathclaws, there are pissed off male Deathclaws. This is known.

We might just be getting our own settlement radio to make a playlist of songs to broadcast (I wonder if we can put that station on our Pipboy - and get a DJ to live in our settlement?), but it would be hella cool if there was some quasi-MIDI thing in-game like Minecraft's Note Blocks.

I think the reborn Enclave would send talking deathclaws just to halt that blasphemy...

Sounds like settlement building is going to be a game within a game. I am going to be dazzled by all of the new things we will be able to do, that I can hardly wait. Oh and 34 days!

Wonder what they came up with for radio stations and sound track. It would be cool if we get to listen to some of the old radio channels, like if Threedog found a way to boost his signal (you did fix the antenna after all) and now he can be heard all the way up in Boston.

Yeah, I enjoyed that in GTA back in the day! SABOTAAAAAAAAAAGE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! lol

I'm fairly certain there will be awesome radio mods out with music collection way better than I could ever make them.

Screw music. Just let me broadcast wonderful propaganda over loudspeakers to my great citizens about how great our settlement and it's creator are!
