Crafting Powerleveling Problem

Since I can not leave feedback anywhere else and I was unable to leave feedback in game last beta for some reason ill leave it here.

The issue:

Currently crafting gear rewards around 1/3 ish of the IP (exp) that extracting gear with the same level. If a crafter extracts gear he created he would only earn a fraction of the IP since ZoS does not want crafters to powerlevel themselves this way. Currently most crafters I know plan on crafting with friends who both craft many items and trade them for extracting. This will earn the most IP gain. I can live with that though it seems silly.

The problem is that Extracting IP (exp) is based on level of the item. A level 50 character can find/buy level 50 items and extract them and earn a ton of IP (exp) this way. In other words a 50 no crafter will be able to level most crafts to 50 in less then a hour and all it would take is a extracting items that can be found for a pretty low price.

This ruins crafting and makes it pretty worthless because everyone will likely be maxed crafters in a short amount of time.

I have heard contradicting information about the above.

1: Works like the above.

2: A player can only extract the type he can craft. (IE to extract a Voidstone Dagger a player must have a high enough Blacksmith that has unlocked Voidstone).

I have heard both Number 1 and Number 2 during all my research into crafting (Number 1 was actually from level 50s). Number 1 breaks crafting and number 2 is acceptable to me. I have not been able to confirm it with testing and if anyone here actually have tested this first hand please let us know. Extracting still rewards way to much experience IMO either way.
