crafting. ..

I have a opinion about the crafting system.
I may be alone in feeling this way and I don't have a total understanding on the launch crafting. But it seems like it would not be a bad idea to take the path of having people choose 2 or 3 professions opposed to the free for all. I think it would lead to a better in game economy. It just makes gathering a pain for everyone. people just grabbing all the nodes they can get thier hands on just to vendor some of them. But on the other hand I see the very open system but I imagine late game nodes will be less frequent and harder to craft. I just look at it like I'm trying to craft a great sword or etc. And someone is going around farming it just to vendor.

However, that will happen anyway, regardless of everyone's ability to level every profession. :/

Unless you will need special skills to harvest higher level nodes, but I wouldn't know about that.

From what I understand the points you invest in crafting come at a cost to points for improving combat effectiveness. That is a pretty darn good incentive to limit your crafting choices.

However you need xp or shards to put points into crafting skills.

This require exploring or questing so you need some combat skills to be able to level up.
