OK, I was kinda leery about telling Boone "I'll meet up with you at Lucky 38, let's part ways til then" so that I could take Cassidy to a quest location.

Well, I'm done with that (Cassy went bye bye) and now Boone is absolutely nowhere to be found in the strip or around/in Lucky 38.

Anyone have an idea where this chump is? If I ever find him again, I'm gonna get him an onStar subscription so he doesn't get himself lost again.

One time I told him to go back to the Lucky 38 and I watched him carefully. He was walking into a tree for about five minutes straight until I finally " budged " him over. I suggest you go back to where you had him leave and then try to retrace his footsteps if possible because he could be stuck.

Also, he tends to walk VERY SLOWLY, so it's possible you may need to wait a day for him to get there.

Well, I'll trace back to where I told him off.... but when I got to the L38, I slept for 8 hours thinking he'd show up.

Well, he wasn't there.

But I went back to the L38 and he was in the last room I checked (I previously checked these rooms)

Now Boone is back with me and it's like old times!

So much like old times, in fact, that after 2 minutes, we had a crash to desktop!

...yup.... just like old times.
