There is not going to be a dx11 patch. I like how you people just dreamed this up and now throw it around as a fact.

And a bunch of other **** confirming it. A DX11 patch is coming out, but you gotta be patient. 16 ms is alot of tech time.
ALSO, DX11 CAN improve textures. Actually, if a developer went all out DX11, then it'd have to have a totally different texture pack. There's specific bump mapping and special shadows and physics all included in DX11, it's not just tesselation.
And if DX11 doesn't improve textures, there might be a texture pack. And if there's not a texture pack, then people can simply mod Crysis 2 with their own high-res texture packs (probably on CryMod), and TADA, you got high-res textures.
