Um, I have the GoTY edition, and Ive tried everything ive found on these forum but no luck, Ive changed my .ini, got FOMM, unofficial patch, checked the Audio Decoder config....installed GFWL tried the 1.7 patched, uninstalled GFWL used a fake xlive...

No matter what I have done, I still crash after hitting "Start" from the launcher, am I SoL?

I just got the same thing. I started a game twice normally, then changed graphic settings and the next time I tried firing up the game it crashed before I got to the main menu.

Well Tech support says that my processor isnt fast enough even though its quad core, i run at 1.8 and it needs to be 2.4......i can run Crysis but not Fallout, thats messed up lol, o well =(

I could play Fallout 3 10 months ago and it worked fine. Now I got GOTY and I wish I didn't.

The only thing that changed between the time I played it and now was my graphic card - I switched from nVidia to ATI. Could it be that my drivers are not updated enough?

Did you make sure to delete the .ini file located in My Documents>My Games>Fallout 3?

I think I deleted it. And the Windows Explorer says the ini was created yesterday.
