The game worked flawlessly on 1.8 but after applying the 1.9 patch it consistently crashes after the loading screen. A non-responding popup appears and the game closes.

Im running Windows 7 64-bit, Radeon HD 4800, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400.

I have similar specs and this is also happening to me since patch 1.9. I can start a new game, play, and save just fine. But when I try to load from a save, it crashes upon loading. This means I can't play Single Player unless I play through it all in one sitting. Not good.

Reinstalling the game did not fix this.

I only have patch 1.9 installed. I did not install the DX 11 or High-Res texture packs.

System: Windows 7 64-bit, Radeon 4850, Catalyst 11.6 video drivers, Intel Core 2 Duo 8400.

Any help would be appreciated!

I just bought this game and same thing! I can start a new game, and it works.. but if I load a savegame or resume then I get a crash and cannot play it. I have an nVidia GTX 465 but I also have the e8400 processor on Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit. WTF is the deal with this? I'm not a happy camper, and from the research i've done on the web there seem to be cracks that can solve the issue so why can't we get an official fix from Crytek?
