Crash After 5-10 Min, Found No Solutions!

Hey. I just Downloaded Crysis 2 off steam. here are my system specs:
GTX285
i7920
6gb ram 1800
1920x1200 resolution

For whatever reason, I have serious issues running this game longer than 5 minutes. The game is up to date according to Steam, and I have the latest Nvidia drivers. It's not running DX11, and nor am I running the game on the highest settings. In fact, I've tried running it on lower resolution and the lowest graphics settings just to get it to work.

My computer is running at stock clock, so I know the hardware is running fine. I've been running Deus Ex no problem, and it runs for hours if needed.

As for the crash, I'll get about 5 minutes in till the whole screen goes black and I have a complete system crash.

I've looked for solutions, but most of these problems seem to occur for the GTX570 or something, and I don't feel comfortable playing with the voltages on my GPU.

I'm a casual gamer, so the simplest solution is the best. I don't feel comfortable playing around with the system voltages, clock speed, etc. The simpler, the better.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have any of the crash dump files (you can access them through the Event Viewer)?

Also, are these crashes in single player or multiplayer?

Finally, you might check on your temps with a program like HWmonitor, before and after the crash
