Hello I have a problem with crysis 2, occurs every time I play, this is the problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvIViG43Z6M.
My setup is as follows:

i7 950, overclocked to 3.4
gtx 580 overclocked Gigabyte factory
6Gb ram dominator overclock to 1700
motherboard asus rampage extreme 3
Windows 7 64bit
the GeForce video driver version 275.33

Since I installed the packages and patch1.9 dx11, I must always crashes, like in the video, forcing me to ctrl + alt + delete premenre, to return to the taskmanager and see what the application does not resp. I apologize for English, but I am Italian and use google translator. I ask for help to solve the problem. thanks in advance:)

no problems here... i have a GTX 570 videocard.

Is it always happening on the same spot in the single player? is it also happening in multiplayer?

If it happens on all maps with but almost at the same time im guessing the card or system gets not enough power or the card gets instable to overheat.

as i see all of your hardware is overclocked. it could be to high overclocked wich results in these crashes when an immens load on the GPU and CPU will crash the system. due to instability to power or heat. have you tried to revert all hardware to stock?

The problem persists, I set the cpu and ram default, but the video card is overclocked to Factory, and always the same problem, I also installed the latest DirectX June 2010. What will the system works, it's just the game to stop responding

I had the problem until I deleted my game.cfg (made a backup first) and my autoexec.cfg (made a backup first).

I then found that it only gave me problems on certain resolutions, 1920 * 1050 and 1280 * 1050 (or whatever they are), seem to be stable for me.

hours trying to use different resolutions, even though my native resolution is 1920x1200, I try to get down with the resolution.

no the problem persists. What can I do, I can not play.

Crysis 2 DX11 is very intense and cause crash if u have OCed GPU. People if u want to play DX11 crysis 2 either wait for Cryteks optimisation or Nvidias optimisations or downclock ur GPU to its default clock(to the ones that Nvidia specified or amd specified default).

Yep same here (GTX 570); right after leaving the sub the screen goes black (sometimes I can still hear sound) and the software stops responding. I'm fairly certain it's a patch 1.9 issue rather than a DX11 + textures packs one. A new patch resolving this would be nice (preferably before the 2nd new Gn'R album pretty please?). I would also like to know if the people at Crytek have been able to reproduce the issue and if they're working on the solution? We're giving a lot of feedback which is only replied by with an eerie silence from Crytek. I think some sort of answer would make us all feel a little better? So, Crytek, if you need additional info, a DXDiag report, whatever, let us know and I'm sure we're willing to help out with working towards a solution together.

Having the same issue as well, very annoying and I can't even play. However my AMD/ATI rig works fine. And I'm using a GTX 580 as well on my main rig.

Guys even if your card is at factory settings it may still be overclocked. You need to down clock your cards or increase voltage

downclock unfortunately do not know how, so I prefer not to do damage, but I hope cmq resolve the matter short, nvidia or Crytek, or patience to play, I can not risk doing damage to play crysis 2. I hope Crytek read these requests and work to resolve them

Downclocking to stock settings will not cause damage and is very easy to do using "MSI afterburner" for nvidia cards

Can I use MSI Afterburner, while having a gigabyte of video card?

To play a game? That's just silly. :) (if a card is at stock or even factory overclock)

In fact this is the task of Crytek or nvidia, solve the dilemma.

Agree but maybe even more so a problem with EVGA, asus or whoever are creating these unstable overclocked cards. But I guess that's part of the price we pay for the PC gaming experience compared to consoles
