Crash to Desktop - Outside Dunwich Building

Post » Wed Aug 17, 2011 7:37 pm

I am having an issue with the game crashing outside the Wasteland area outside the Dunwich Building. Everything was fine at first, I went in and explored without any problems, but when I tried to leave, the game crashed and brought me to my desktop. I reloaded over and over and the same thing happened every time. It turns out that I had a save just outside the door to the building, so I loaded that. It crashed before it booted. The saves inside Dunwich work fine, as do the saves in other parts of the game (including other Wasteland areas). Any thoughts? If not, if anyone has managed to teleport using the console commands (I can't get it to do anything), that would be appreciated as well. I just want out of Dunwich... :sadvaultboy:

Also, I've already tried the "bUseThreadedAI=0 to 1 and add iNumHWThreads=2" trick. It's the only reason the game was stable to this point.

Specs:
Toshiba Satellite A505
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel i7 720
4 GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GT 330M

Thanks for any help!

You are trapped there forever, soon your skin will fall off due to radiation, your brain will rot and decay and you will turn into a feral ghoul.
You will soon find yourself worshipping the altar in the underground floor and muttering random words.

I'm out! I disabled autosaving, and it worked just fine.
