i currently rebuilt my oblivion game by completely reinstalling my game and all the mods i had for it.... i used fast exit 2 before and it worked like a charm. now it doesnt seem to be working at all.

so what could be causing me to crash on exit?

I actually have the same problem. Oblivion will close without crash if you type qqq into the console.
Not sure if it should be closed that way though.

I had the same issue with Fast Exit 2. Using OBSE 18 beta 6, but I think it was the same with the previous release. Have stopped using Fast Exit 2 for the time being.

well solved my problem and now fast exit works so those of you who have posted on here may wanna double check this but make sure you are using the obse launcher!!!!
i some how forgot to change the target of my oblivion desktop icon so i wasnt even running obse :facepalm:

That's not it in my case. Specifically I've noticed that Fast Exit 2 doesn't save the ini on exit, which meant that most of my screenshots were overwritten as it always restarted from the same file number.

Have you tried CleanQuit? I have only heard one other case of this mod not working, but I have not a clue as to what that other person's experience level or situation was.

Nope, but I'll try it now. I'm using Pluggy already so that's not a problem.
